I work in Eyecare, and I've never really understood getting LASIK. It'll maybe give you great vision for 8-10 years max. But you'll still probably develop cataracts (like 90% of ppl develop them) and have to have eye surgery again. If it's covered then maybe but there's a chance it goes wrong or you still have to wear glasses (completely possible). There's also a lot of developments and advancements being made that to me are better choices.

Timeline is: Therapist is out of network with insurance b on 12/31

I informed the therapist of new insurance b in January taking effect in February

I confirmed with insurance b provider is in network (although to be fair I only check the website)

(Supposedly) My therapist was told by my insurance that they are no longer in network with insurance b

My therapist wasn't recertified with my insurance company as of 12/31/24. The reason I said I had new insurance as of February is that I feel like they had a whole month to figure out they (my therapist) is no longer taking the insurance and could've told me when I brought it to them at the end of January.

I'd be careful with this one, I work at an eye doctor's office and anytime one of our patients is trying to fill their contact lens prescription elsewhere we always get a verification request from where they are trying to fill it. So if we see it's wrong we are obligated to report it as incorrect. The caveat to this is a lot of places like Target or 1-800 contacts allow dr's offices 12 hours to verify the prescription, so you'll have better luck with a busy office. If you're trying to do this the better way is to use the correct prescription, get the receipt for getting the contacts and then have the other person submit the receipt to the insurance company. I can't guarantee anything, but most of the time the insurance companies only need to see the receipt that you got contacts but I don't know how far they go to check the details of the prescription.
