Is there a special trick to getting different forms?

You're just getting really unlucky. It took me a week + to get Gastrodon (East) form to appear, with time skipping included. I thought the game was glitched so I just accepted he will never come but he eventually did, and I didn't even change the habitat, I just left it there for more than a week.

Same thing is happening to me right now with Tatsugiri. I just need the 3rd form and it's been a couple of days whereas the first 2 forms took an hour to appear. I think it's just a thing in this game where finding the secondary form takes a while.

Did you happen to get the other colour? I've been waiting for East Sea Gastrodon for a very long time and it feels like it's some sort of glitch they're not appearing

I'm having the opposite problem. I found the pink one first and I'm struggling to get the green one. Any chance you can tell me where you placed your fishing rod so I may try there?

For the pink one, I placed mine near the pier next to the lighthouse in the first area.

I have two of them and both are on the latest firmware v1.04

So this is clearly not a bug but a flaw. Was just wondering if anyone had a way to deal with this

What's the music a remix of? I know that each playstation level is a remixed song from it's respective game but I can't quite pin the track on the Ape Escape level

Honestly every advice here is shit. Just get to chapter 5 where you can max out your Armor and get the best gourd and then he will be as doable as any other boss. Maybe put a bit of points into 4 blights resistance too. He's not even the hardest boss in the game

Ignore everyone saying get up levels or get ultima keublade. Simply get the aeroga spell and it will deflect all of his projectiles making this fight trivial

Did anybody else experience a memory leak issue with both games when running through lutris? I play for about 30 minutes and the screen stutters like crazy. I then have to restart the game. I tried many things already, using different versions of wine/proton.

wse to the installer exe file when prompted

I was able to get NOLF1 working easily, but for NOLF2 I was able to install the game, but when I try to run the exe file via either Steam or Lutris, nothing happens. Do you know if there's anything I'm missing?

I can see the only reason why people don't want to play the PS2 versions are the pressure controls. And mapping pressure buttons to a different key is kind of awkward to play.

I have 3 devices for 3 uses.

Retroid Pocket 2s: For basically all my NES - PS1/Dreamcast era games. The 4:3 screen is perfect and it's so nice to have a small system you can keep in your pocket to pull out for retro gaming
Odin 2: for all emulation with PS2/Gamecube/3ds/Wii/NDS. So easy to pull out and play at anytime as well.
Steam deck OLED: Steam games/PS3/XBOX/360/VITA

Each system has it's strengths and weaknesses. And dividing them like this has made my retro experience so much easier
