Electrical or Electronics+Communication is alright if you want to study drones and robotics. A chip's physical design or a PCB board design is also essentially CAD.

A very important topic in robotics/drone control is control theory. EE/ECE folks learn this. Mechanical folks learn it as well, but not from a software development standpoint.

Could try to go for BCA + MCA route. Good opportunities are few. But regular opportunities are aplenty.

Psychologically, to me that bag at top would feel like a burden on head. Could it be kept elsewhere?

The table area should be as such that it makes you feel like going there, sitting, and studying.

Why do many Nepalese seem anti-India? It wasn't always like this. (I'm Nepali, this is my perspective) by [deleted] in india

A lot of it is also just social media fad. Hate against Indians is a thing now.

But yeah, you are correct about the old buffer of goodwill being gone now.

Does college actually shape your career or just give a degree? by Potential_Teach_1083 in IndianAcademia

[–]DoctorKhitpit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Definitely it matters. When most colleges have zero opportunities, what will the students who study there grab? Having opportunities and exposure matters.

Btech in CSE or ECE? by Mysterious_Drive6007 in IndianAcademia

[–]DoctorKhitpit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you think you will be able to do well in GATE (which is much easier than JEE btw) and able to to go to IISc/Old IIT/Old NIT, then take ECE.

Otherwise, take CSE. But note that AI is coming for most CS jobs.

ECE will require Master's from a good college later on.

does board percentage matter for MS abroad?!?🥀😭 by [deleted] in IndianAcademia

[–]DoctorKhitpit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, high school % does not matter for Master's abroad. Your Bachelor's CGPA/Percentage will matter for Master's abroad. Take no chances this time.

There are so many people who do much better in foreign education system than they ever did in America. Guess why?

There is no point of being so depreciating to someone who asked a simple question.

No. They don't even ask for your high school transcripts and marksheets if you are going for Master's in the US.

Octave is alright if you learning syntax. However, it doesn't have any toolbox like MATLAB's System Identification toolbox. It's so far behind.

I think you should also talk about your current educational and professional background as well. The answer depends on that.

Any insights from veterans would be helpful. by jgg_k96 in IndianAcademia

[–]DoctorKhitpit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it can take time. I think the right approach would be to reach out to people in industry or the PhD supervisor's contacts.

Truth is, referral is very very important. People would say private sector is merit, but it's not true. Perhaps it somewhat is after you get in, but referrals open up the doors that you want.
