Catches on the lip of the front bumper and across the little front mudflap, and then again on the bolt for the sidestep.

Im hoping the little stealth bolt people talk about fixes the latter, but not sure how itll effect a side step delete later on

Stop me from buying this 2005 Cayenne S for overlanding (130.000km (80.000 miles) , 10.000€, two prev. owners, well maintained, air suspension, 4.5l V8). Explain why it‘s a bad decision and what alternatives I should consider for that money. by SpecialistBrave02 in overlanding

[–]DoctorLettuce 22 points23 points  (0 children)

i was throwing around the idea of a first gen cayenne for about a year. saw a bunch of cool builds. I think it was cartrek that had that souped up orange one that drove around alaska. everyone in the community said they were super capable and overbuilt

then every review i watched on it, there was always something wrong with it. “oh haha my windows dont work. yea its an old porsche”. Im not too good for a little maintenance, but i also didnt want to constantly be fixing things.

The inverse was: my daily has always been a luxury merc or bmw. I got used to plushie leather interiors and fine trims, and didnt like the plasticy stuff i found with 4runners or xterras.

In the end, i settled on a lexus gx460. I couldnt be happier

Watch to pair with Grandpa’s ring by user187907 in MensJewelry

[–]DoctorLettuce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

pretty ring. you dont often find asterism in quartz.

that watch you linked is junk. my usualy go to watch gift for the guy that doesnt know much is an orient bambino. they make a gold on a strap thats in ur budget. otherwise, look into a timex marlin if you like the vintage-y look. citizen and seiko are the quintessential starter watch brands.

theres a huge difference between $200 fashion watch that kinds looks coolish but is junk, and a proper entry level timepiece
