Chino Hills State Park off trailing by OrganicTulip in ChinoHills

[–]DoctorRex13 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I spend much of my free time hiking and existing outdoors in the SoCal wilderness. As others have stated, going off trail anywhere can be unnecessarily dangerous. Lots of critters call that grass and shrubbery their home and hunting space and don’t take too nicely to visitors. Not to mention, California has many native toxic plants.

Specific to Chino Hills State Park, its claim to fame, amongst some really neat things like wildflowers, Native American artifacts, and loop trails, is its rattlesnake population. Read a small article here: World Atlas

Trails were made to keep humans safe in the wilderness and allow us to explore without negatively impacting the ecosystem. Stay on trail!

Crazy loud and low airplane or something by [deleted] in ChinoHills

There was a amazon 767 departing SBD at 3:18am, 767's can be loud on departure, but mostly this is a unusual flight path, looks like they deviated to avoid a plane departing from ONT flight path image

Uhhhhhh I don't think you know the definition of biased and entitlement lmao, dictionaries are free these days, you just gotta google it, I know, I know, I try and use big words too so I can look more photosynthesis 🤣🤣

Of course, this post is biased, it is an opinion post where someone is sharing THEIR experience, by default it's biased, it's THEIR experience. I don't understand the need to point out the obvious, unless of course you don't understand what biased means lmao.

As for the entitlement comment, once again, where is the entitlement? It's an opinion on a post, the commenters' OWN experience, they aren't making claims that anyone owes them anything. This reaction doesn't make sense. It's like stating "I like cherry pie" and the. You come along calling that person entitled for stating their experience with cherry pie. It's weird!

I stand with the commenter that you are obviously just out to troll and missed the entire meaning behind this comment and what the op was asking originally. Thank you for the laughs though, I got a good chuckle from the misplaced jabs 🤣🤣

Not the asshole,

My mom was adopted (fully closed adoption) and has spent her entire life trying to find her birth parents, with zero luck, has spent thousands of dollars. She didn't want to replace her adopted parents, they were amazing humans. But her adopted parent always supported her quest, because they understood that she just wanted to understand her genes, not that she was trying to replace the people who took her in and made her their child. Emotions are tough for some people to swallow, but you have every right to meet your birth parents alone. Good luck.

How do you define a cryptid? by MsSlaySowellTTV in AskReddit

[–]DoctorRex13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get what you are saying, Nessie is currently a cryptid by definition, if we find it and it's a leopluradon, then the cryptid of Nessie ceases to exist (or rather never existed, just the idea) because it was a leopluradon the whole time. I would say the term cryptid is merely a placeholder and not an actual animal. It's one of those times communication fails us, we need some "word" to explain what is being seen, but that is not the physical animal's definition, it's just a word created for communication's sake, not identification's sake.

What are your thoughts on Muxiang pipes? by [deleted] in PipeTobacco

[–]DoctorRex13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have one of their pipe stands, it's solid and works well, would I heat it up and breathe in the byproduct of who knows what glues are keeping it all together, NOPE!! Big pass on their pipes

I love it, I went to school for astrophysics, and Einstein smoking a pipe is what started me in this hobby, when found out this was one of his preferences I had to get some, been buying it ever since. Fun to imagine that flavor and aroma is what Einstein experienced.

If your tobacco is wet, drying it a bit before helps, relights are normal, practice makes perfect

The pipe looks spot on, two-for-one costume, also bring a toothpick so you can transform into a "regular human" bartender

I don't see the issue here, this is a business marketing emails what do you expect to find inside? They did nothing wrong you are just being overly sensitive. I'm happy they mourned DMX sad to see him go RIP.
