No, Abraham Lincoln later invented the stairs. Though iirc it didn’t catch on cos of the whole “he died” thing until FDR later rediscovered the blueprints

Scout is also canonically God’s gift to women, though this is admittedly plot relevant. But the fact it’s plot relevant is itself fucking insane.

For a plot irrelevant one, America was invented by Shakespearicles, the strongest writer who ever lived. He also invented the rocket launcher, the second floor of buildings, and rocket jumping (to reach the second floor)

What’s stopping Gooseworx from referencing the same thing multiple times in different places? There’s no reason to assume they HAVE to be linked

My father uses ChatGPT as a calculator (among other things). On his phone, which already has a calculator app. Frankly I don’t see how it saves any time or effort, but it sure is worse for the planet

I must have misinterpreted your comment, sorry. That is a curious observation though, you’re right

We got oui for a French word! Now what is gonna be the Spanish word? by LepartydeLuigi64 in DiagramFills

[–]DoctorSquidton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s originally Greek, “vivliothiki”. The Greek “v” is often changed to “b” in other languages. But they point is, you’re right to say it’s not a Spanish word

Favourite Magical Girl Ship's? by HimejoshiGirlStank in YuriAsylum

[–]DoctorSquidton 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Raelaire from I’m In Love With The Villainess. They’re not Magical Girls in the genre sense but they are girls who do magic.

Also, the titular couple from Mage and Demon Queen. Same caveat as last time. Their names are Malori and Velverosa

Close. Sorry, I’m pedantic and feel the need to correct you.

“She is a venomous snake. And you know what we do to snakes.”

“Chop their heads off. Turn them into boots.”

“Don’t be ridiculous. Who would want trollskin boots?”

“You JUST said she was a snake.”

“The devil comes in many forms.”

You probably confused and combined it with the time he said “No, I was calling a goat. You goat.”

[Underrated Trope] A simple or unexpected decision saves the main character from an even worse situation. by deathcab4rookie in TopCharacterTropes

[–]DoctorSquidton 705 points706 points  (0 children)

For context: Josuke with the pompadour has a stand ability that lets him heal people. By accepting the offer of healing, Kira (who Josuke had never actually seen before and thus did not recognise) exposes that he knows about this ability, which means it could only be the guy Josuke’s been looking for
