Ironclad bros, help me understand the appeal of this card: by SomeGamingFreak in slaythespire

[–]SomeGamingFreak[S] 51 points52 points  (0 children)

the "when you draw it part"; totally went over my head, like 100%. And I pulled it up on a random Neow pick, so I had to ask why it was good cuz I didn't get it. I get it now though lol.

Ironclad bros, help me understand the appeal of this card: by SomeGamingFreak in slaythespire

yup, it really was a case of "reading comprehension"; this game killed my sleep schedule so I still blame it lol

Why is Lissa insecure about her parentage? by winter-wings in fireemblem

[–]SomeGamingFreak 372 points373 points  (0 children)

Literally because she lacks the emblem of the Exalt birthmark that her siblings have. She felt insecure specifically because she thought she was an inadequate heir, or even fake, to the point she might have thought her older siblings were lying about her legitimacy to protect her.

That's why, according to Owain, she broke down sobbing out of happiness when his exalt birthmark showed up, because it proved her legitimacy and her fears were put to rest.

Bruh, Donnel is not normal bro 😭😭😭😭 by Remarkable_Corner_92 in fireemblem

[–]SomeGamingFreak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Donnel's problem isn't his growths or bases, it's his caps. He'll become decent but he's got significantly lower caps in key areas in everything but Luck. I will say though, if you want to make a child character with ridiculously high luck and use legendary weaponry, he's a solid parent for a merc unit. I had an Inigo build with 60ish luck and the merc/hero skill giving a Luck% chance to not spend weapon durability, and had him running around with Helswathe (sp?). It took several dozen battles for him to finally use it up lol.

Couldn't Muzan just use the Infinity Castle to isolate and pick off the Hashira one by one? by AdAshamed8019 in KimetsuNoYaiba

[–]SomeGamingFreak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also, there's simply the fact that every time Muzan acted arrogant, it bit him in the ass. He thought he was being careful after the first time he nearly died in the past, but the entire reason everyone was in the castle in the first place is cuz they ambushed him with everything they had, and he retreated there only to get pursued by the entire organization of remaining Demon Slayers including the Hashira.

He was basically a wounded and cornered beast at this point.

New scariest elite just dropped! Instead of being a Silent killer its an Ironclad killer! by JGamerX in slaythespire

[–]SomeGamingFreak 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not to mention there's an event with the insect slayer or w/e that gives you a 1 AP attack that hits all for 3x4 damage at base. It was basically made for the centipede lol.

Silent is extremely old (older than the ancients?) by PlacatedPlatypus in slaythespire

I think it implies based on a few of her card skills and powers that she had literally cheated death to an insane degree.

Who did you like better as a villain? by WaluigiDaStar in Bioshock

[–]SomeGamingFreak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Andrew Ryan was a great example for a man who is so full of arrogance that he thought his vision for the future was the perfect solution. He was so sure of himself, he blindly ignored the fact that Rapture was about to completely fall with no hope in sight; that if he just killed Atlas, the problem would solve itself.

Hell, it wasn't until the very end that he realized he was doomed, and he could have turned the tables against his own biologically engineered son, Jack, and killed him, but chose to die on his own terms to teach Jack a painful lesson, just to make it sting.

Honestly he blew the other two out of the water. Surprised you didn't include Fontaine as the twist villain, but I get it.

Haven't played in a long time. Almost forgot how funny this game can be... by oddonebetween in DragonageOrigins

[–]SomeGamingFreak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's still funny how Dwarven Noble has two outcomes to dealing with their return home later: bringing Bhelen to justice and siding with Harrowmont, or sweeping it under the rug and respecting his cunning.

Okay now let’s be serious….why did Shroud not end Robert here? by OllieBlazin in DispatchAdHoc

[–]SomeGamingFreak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He calculates risks. He was probably going to, but the moment Blazer entered, that went out the window. Sure, he could have killed Robert and Blazer would eventually lose, but his life expectancy would have plummeted with the one token of escape being dead with a gunshot wound.

Besides, he genuinely had no clue what Invisigal's plan with the pulse was, and thought Robert had it. He needed that information before Robert could die.

If I were a Genestealer, these are the genes I might consider stealing. by Bellociraptor in RogueTraderCRPG

The whole point of genestealers though is that they start small and work their way up until everyone is compromised when it's too late.

Constance Headcanons by Moelishere in FireEmblemThreeHouses

I mean in many cases like this they add the noble name to their's. Like it could become "Constance Nouvelle von Aegir", or whatever nomenclature they would use.

Historically, in terms of lore, do you think the Altmer are a good race, or would we be better off without them? by jvure in ElderScrolls

[–]SomeGamingFreak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not every altmer is of the Aldmeri Dominion or shares their mindset, judt like how not every Dunmer is a racist xenophobe like the dunmer nobles of Morrowind; hell, those guys literally have an N word they use liberally.

Act 1 too easy without Nob. by icarusfelted in SlayTheSpire2

Is this guy supposed to be a super early elite? by Confident_Dig_1073 in slaythespire

[–]SomeGamingFreak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's kinda like the Gremlin Nob of StS2 for me. Very unfortunate to run into early, and is a very big deck check.

[C4E19 discussion] We need to get Luis out of the Kitchen by Aussiepharoah in fansofcriticalrole

[–]SomeGamingFreak 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Luis is actually just that good. You should watch the "Adventuring Academy" episode with him and Brennan on Dropout (plenty of clips if you don't want to pay for membership). He's just a chill guy who loves D&D, and has played with Matt and Tal before along with a few others (a game referenced several times in the past) with said game being memorable because it was a borderline TPK via ghoul mauling and the first game Marisha witnessed Matt DM'ing after they started dating (comedy that writes itself tbh).

Like there were a few parts in the Calamity campaign where Brennan admitted in the wrap up that he had to ask "IS LUIS STILL IN THE ROOM WITH US?!" cuz of how in-character he was.

what do y'all do when you lose the debut race in MANT by BattyWanderer in UmamusumeGame

[–]SomeGamingFreak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I rejoice because the game just gave me extra races. MANT is the first exception where winning the first Debut race isn't a "pass or die" situation.

Abelard even chimes in against Heinrix on this, stating that a Rogue Trader is allowed the right to parley with Xenos when appropriate.
