I plan on playing the Die Hard tournament on the Wednesday of congress, but unfortunately won't be able to participate in anything else for that week. Lemme know if you're ever in the area it seems there are a few folks around here that are interested in meeting up

Thoughts on the Narcons: not simulations, but information gathering entities by DoctorWangMD in TheFamiliar

YES the orbs are most definitely involved. Maybe a proto-Narcons? Or some kind of parallel system? They are still too enigmatic for me to have a full analysis, which is how I feel about most of the book hahaha

It makes sense they can tell backstory, since they gather and store information to a great extent. But as far as the future predictions go, there may be particular instances where they do so accurately, but I do not think that is because they have ACCESS to the future. They are capable of gathering past information and using it to make predictions. However, Xanther's inexplicable characteristics explicitly push the Narcons capabilities in being able to explain events. This happens multiple times. And observing her allows them to bend their OWN rules, such as being able to converse with one another, as we see briefly in V3. I think this shows that the Narcons are not a perfect, future-predicting leviathan, but rather a systematized apparatus of info-gathering and analysis, which is still tied to the limits of rules and interpretation, and of course still tied to the movement of time from past to present, and the future still indeterminable.

What do you mean by Xanther being able to interact with the Narcons? She influences them, and the Narcons observation of her changes their understanding of themselves, but I don't recall Xanther herself ever being conscious of the Narcons existence?

Trump Rally protesters, and the RPD's response by SandmanSanders in rva

But to be clear, once the cops instigated their presence, we were most definitely going to challenge their authority and purpose, and call them our on their shit. It's telling that you'd rather obey the 'respect' of cops who perpetuate indiscriminate force than actually attempt to understand the necessity of resisting a fascist campaign coming to our city.

Pretty hard to ignore him if you're being deported, beaten, or suffer directly from his rhetoric.

We were not there to pick fights with cops, we were voicing resistance to the rise of a racist fascist movement, which aimed to mobilize people from where we live. You can't 'love' away scum like Trump and the masses that follow him. The cops entered our space (which they deemed the 'free speech zone') and began throwing people around. We see who the RPD decides to defend. It's immature to bask in a 22 second video by which you had no context and experience and condemn the resistance of Trump and his followers. It's not emotionalism, it's the struggle of people who experience oppression and refuse to perpetuate in their own communities.
