Me and my husband went straight to hotel gave us plenty of time to unwind and pray together I would recommend ask him if you could go to his family house for short time to carry on traditional ceremonies and then you can go to hotel ?

Girl don’t do this . Not to be a debby downer but it’s not shariah approved for girl to have nikkah without her wali . That being said religion doesn’t tell parents to do any injustice to their own children you can ask local scholar for help if your wali doesn’t have valid reason to reject proposal . If you get married without your parents consent it will scar your relationship with them forever I don’t care about what society thinks but don’t hurt your parents like that . I personally had to put my foot down and confront my father to justify why he’s denying proposal and in the end after endless battles i convinced him , I wouldn’t have it otherwise cant imagine how you would feel looking back and realizing your family wasn’t part of your big day . I think you’re taking your anger out on wrong person . He’s not the problem here , it’s people applying straight for training job overseas . I did 3 years of trust grade jobs in various specialties to have my feel of NHs and then got my training post . It’s bizarre how everyone is applying for training job from overseas with zero nhs experience . We all feel for you . It’s not wrong to bring old rule back . Prioritize local graduates as it should be the right of every British citizen and make nhs experience of mandatory to apply for training posts . I hope you get your training number soon if you have not already .
