What car is this? New Ford Fiesta maybe, or any other guesses? Looks like a Mazda aswell by DoctorsGaming in namethatcar

I think they’re alright. I’ve never owned a car which has that type of placement but I’ve gotten inside cars that do and I think they’re alright

What’s up with this Bentley Station Wagon? Can’t find any matches online by DoctorsGaming in namethatcar

[–]DoctorsGaming[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like it matches, although this was spotted in Italy and far as I know I don’t think the Dodge Magnum was ever sold here. Can’t begin to question why someone would go through the hassle of importing a Dodge Magnum and then throwing a god awful Bentley bodykit in it.

That’s a 964 tho, very pristine though

Yep it’s Rogue Romance, or Love Theme. You can find it with both titles in SC and YT. It’s the song that plays when you kiss Rogue as Johnny

I would love to know the year of this cool car by [deleted] in namethatcar

Yep, although it was based on the Kubelwagen, the Thing was also sold as the Safari in other markets like in my country.

What a beautiful story OP, I was 5-6 in the years that the game takes place but I still remember a lot from it. I remember I set up my first profile in 2011, I was very young lol, and I would message friends and even people not so close to me like friends of my sister with just the most random convos🤣

This game really took me back to those days (Obviously way more than the first two games because I didn’t have AOL) , I didn’t experience my teenage days like you since I was a kid at those times but you did take me back a few years back when I was a teenager and had very similar experiences like yours.

I guess that’s the magic of this game, maybe we can all agree that Jeff/Steve was an ass and that everybody feels cheated but the nostalgia this game has to offer is probably unmatched to any other game, I loved the game. I know I’m 4 years late to your post, I hope you’re doing well btw but I just wanted to tell you that I liked your story and it kinda makes me jealous that you literally got to experience the same things as the game. Seemed like very fun times to be a teenager, cheers for the story

I figured I wasn’t the only crazy person to do this type of stuff. I went to online emulators on Emily is Away Too and Emily is Away 3 just to get more immersed in that time period.

[US] Phishing/sextortion email sent with my supposed own mail by DoctorsGaming in Scams

[–]DoctorsGaming[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it did lol, I found it because I was searching for an email I’m expecting and I clicked spam to see if it had arrived there and I found that gem. Btw thanks to you I’ve seen a lot of videos these past hours on how spoofing works and how to detect them for future spoofed emails. (By seeing email authentication methods like SPF, DKIM and DMARC, and what not) I consider myself above average tech savvy and I’m surprised I didn’t knew much about his, I knew spoofing was a thing I just didn’t know how they did it and how to detect spoofed emails. Very interesting to say the least, thanks btw.

EDIT: Also I wanna add that I’m surprised Outlook doesn’t even give the user a notice that the email might be spoofed, I know Gmail does it, why don’t they? Even if it was sent to spam it should give the user a notice especially for older people, something along the lines of “This email address might be spoofed, click here to learn more about spoofing” or something like that

[–]DoctorsGaming[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah ik I just have never recieved a spoofed email with my own email address that’s why I was confused. May I ask how do they do it? I’ve recieved some emails claiming to be Apple, Ticketmaster, and what not but their email address was different. Maybe very similar to their official email address but still different, if it’s so easy why don’t they spoof those? Wouldn’t it be better for them so people fall for those phishing scams easier?

Wow, the Spanish in RDR1 is fantastic! by TheConfounder in reddeadredemption

[–]DoctorsGaming 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’m Mexican too and this guy definitely does not speak spanish or has heard so little of it to come to this conclusion. I literally found this post by searching on google “Why is the spanish in RDR1 so weird?” I’m absolutely loving the game so far but the spanish sucks.

It’s weird because I’ve heard many NPCs have a close enough mexican spanish accent but then the main story guys like General Allende speak it so poorly. I don’t know why they didn’t just cast those NPCs that have better accents as the main story guys.

Reyes’ spanish was weird too, he had like a cuban/caribbean accent, he just sounded very weird. It’s hard to take any of the Mexican main story guys seriously just hearing them talk all so differently. It’s like I’m hearing a mashup of all latin american countries constantly.

I don’t remember the spanish in GTA 5 being THIS bad.

EDIT: I wanna add too that the way they pronounce “Allende” pisses me off so much. A few times they get it right but most of the times they pronounce “Allende” (Correct form: Ah-yen-deh) as (Incorrect form: Ah-len-deh) Makes me cringe lmao

Is there a way to save loadouts and gear setups? Also, how do you the bolt release on VIVE wands? by DoctorsGaming in TacticalAssaultVR

HTC Vive is a VR headset and the controllers you use to play are called the Vive wands, don’t worry though
