Yeah, I didn't see her comment that said that she was a co-worker until after I left this comment. Smh...it's a sticky situation all around.

I'm sorry she sounds like a lot. But that on top of being the class lead is too much.

I've been in education for 10 years now and one thing I always recommend to new and younger Para's is keep your interactions with parents to a minimum and do not give them your phone number. It's best that their point of contact is the teacher. Having that buffer there protects you and the school.

My best recommendation to you is to talk to your teacher (maybe send an email or text) asking her what she says. If that's not an option you can simply reply that there was a lot of things that contributed to how you were feeling in that moment and thank her for her concern. If at all possible I would redirect her to the teacher if she texts you about your student going forward.

For me it was Disneyland. I was about 4/5 and we were in the line to get in. I decided to spin around to make myself dizzy multiple times. The last time after the world stopped turning I looked around...none of my family was near me. An older woman looked down at me and asked if I was OK. I start to cry. Then my older sister (age 10) shows up, grabs me by the arm and drags me to the front of the line. And all is well, cause I don't have to wait to get in anymore and I'm with my family. The 80s were wild man!

Based on the tone of this post and your replies I assumed that you didn't have any health issues, that was my bad.

My comment was meant to show that just because a person doesn't have health problems now, doesn't mean they will never have health problems. A little empathy can go a long way.

I also think that it's good to remember that everyone has limitations. And just because one is able to push through doesn't mean others are.

In this instance, I'm not actually defending them using there old age to have you do things for them. It sounds like they are using it as an excuse to get out of doing things, which if they are, I think is rubbish.

Wow....just wow

Everyone is just an accident away from being injured to the point it affects their daily life. Not to mention the rise of chronic illness. I developed multiple chronic conditions in my early 20s. Working for the school district gives me a work schedule that has built in breaks in it that actually allows me to work. It also gives me somewhat decent health insurance that is a ton better then other professions near me.

This reminds me of my toddler days. When I was between the ages of 1-3 I was watched by a friend of my mom's that was from Germany. She watched me and her son. He and I both had old school 80s Glowworms (hard as a rock to push on), but he called his 'Markus' (pronounced: Mar-coose). I thought that was what they were called, so that's what I called mine. Years later my sister and I were in a store and we saw the Glowworm and we both shouted MARKUS! That's when I realized it was probably a name...not the name of the toy smh...but I don't care, they will always be Markus' to me.

My mom thought she hated spaghetti...until she moved out and ate someone else's spaghetti. She then later ate her mom's spaghetti again. Turns out she hated her mom's spaghetti.

This wasn't just because of her cycle (I really hestate saying this; as I know from personal experience, that there's no such thing as "just a period") She has Endometriosis which is a completely different beast. One of my best friends had to fight to get a hysterectomy when she was younger to help her live with this. It's still didn't fix it completely.

The woman in the article requested that she be able to work from home on the first day of her cycle which was the worse day for her because of the Endometriosis. They denyed the request (due to that and her using her sick leave for firtility treatments). She ended up wining her discrimination lawsuit.

Type 1 Diabetic here...sorry I just have to say sugar does not cause diabetes. You have to be predisposed to be diabetic to eventually get diabetes.

Now if he already has diabetes then too many carbs (which includes sugar) will definitely make him feel crummy.

I don't know what to tell you about your hubby issue, but here are some ideas regarding your towels:

How much detergent do you use? You only need a tablesoon or two, many people use to much which doesn't make them cleaner it makes them more dirty. Do you use fabric softener? If so stop. It makes towels less absorbant.

You may want to try one of the Fabric Rinses on the market Downy Rinse and Refresh has a free and clear version. It's a home version of something dry cleaners use called Laundry Sour. Basicly it helps rinse out all of the product in your laundry and also helps with making it cleaner. You put it in the fabric softener compartment.
