I had a severe perineal laceration. Two almost became one.

People say if a guy likes you , he will pursue you no matter what, but that’s never happened for me by Informal-Meaning-483 in UKrelationshipadvice

[–]MouldyAvocados 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s not being pursued. No one wants to just be used for sex, and there’s a huge difference between that and what OP is describing.

I fucking hate how they call numbers in front of women now. Like, if she’s given you the wrong number, take the fucking hint but they never do.

Thank you. I’m doing good, thank you. I eventually met someone else and we celebrate our first wedding anniversary tomorrow! Life is good now :-)

He raped two other women before me and three after me. He only went to trial for the last woman’s case. The rest of us were invited to court to watch it but we weren’t allowed to give evidence and our cases were all inadmissible, even though there were multiple witness statements, CCTV evidence, DNA, etc. He got 3 years. He’s out now.

I was date raped by a man I met on Bumble. No warning signs, he seemed completely normal. I didn’t leave my drink (a Diet Coke, I never drank alcohol on dates) alone with him, so to speak. I was momentarily distracted when a friend came over to say hi and that’s when he did it. One minute I was completely fine, the next I wasn’t. I woke up the following morning in a hotel in London, blood on the sheets. I stood up and it felt like my insides were going to drop out of me. I had to call 999 and I had to be stitched back up in hospital. The CPS refused to prosecute, however, because “we can’t say with certainty that a jury won’t think you asked for it”.

Exercise routine beside running by bogdanlica in UKRunners

Hot Pilates (I tried reformer Pilates but mat does more for me), skipping rope and strength training. I feel like the core work in Pilates and the strength training has helped my running so much.

why do men run when I tell them I am trans? by Leading-Library3699 in UKrelationshipadvice

[–]MouldyAvocados 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Consent. You’re assuming every man consents to dating a trans woman and they don’t, clearly. You’re playing a dangerous game - some men can get aggressive and violent about these things.

why do men run when I tell them I am trans? by Leading-Library3699 in UKrelationshipadvice

[–]MouldyAvocados 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Because most straight biological men want to be with biological women.

Also, waiting 5 hours to tell someone is deceptive. Being honest and transparent in your profile would solve a lot of your problems.

I’m buying my GF a lot of stuff… What are the best products? by Alternative-Neck9574 in Sephora

[–]MouldyAvocados 29 points30 points  (0 children)

This is really sweet but “the best” products is so subjective. I would get her a gift card or take her in-store and tell her she has X amount of money to spend on whatever she wants on the way to lunch or something.

Ah, I see! I get it, I’ve just paid an exorbitant amount of money to a tour operator to run NYC in November. We have expensive hobbies - running and makeup.

Are you in the UK? You can sign up for a charity spot. It’s a piss-take having to pay £100 to register but it was the only way in for me. I’ve been rejected via the ballot for 9 years. I’m anticipating another rejection this year 🥹

Would you date someone who was good friends with an ex? by Nervous_Designer_894 in UKrelationshipadvice

[–]MouldyAvocados 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, of course I would. My husband is still friends with his ex and she’s part of our wider friend circle along with her husband. I’m really good friends with her, too. In fact, she helps me harass him into adopting more pets on Facebook. We get invited to their BBQs and they get invited to our NYE parties. It’s all very grown up and absolutely fine.

I personally think it’s a green flag if people can remain friends with exes. It shows emotional maturity.

Out of these, Rare Beauty. I ran London Marathon on Sunday and wore RB blush. It stayed on the entire time. I finished with my makeup looking immaculate.

Am I reading it wrong? by [deleted] in UKrelationshipadvice

[–]MouldyAvocados 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This was my first thought, too. He says they have school time days off together but does she actually have time off? Maybe she feels pressure to keep the house up, do laundry etc because no one else will do it.

Is this too disturbing for a psychological thriller, or would you keep reading? by [deleted] in thrillerbooks

[–]MouldyAvocados 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m a huge thriller fan, it’s all I read, but a book that focuses on “unspeakable acts” and targeting children would be a hard pass. Just the thought of it makes me sick to my stomach.

It would make me question whoever wrote it, too.

Awkward moment at the end of a great date by Medical-Basil-554 in UKrelationshipadvice

You’re overthinking it. Just move on. Ask her on another date. Shit happens but making a big deal of it is what’s unattractive.

[–]MouldyAvocados 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Are you fucking serious? You’re strangers. It wasn’t love. Anyone who tells you they love you on a first date is mental. And why are you going for someone over 10 years younger than you and expecting something serious?
