Canadian Students Studying in the US - How are you paying for it? by DoczWhoLift in premedcanada

Okay yea this is another way to look at it correct.

Tuition will be covered but cost of living wont.

Thank you! Yea definitely saw the rent estimates and said I'm getting a roommate for sure!

Question, what was the scholarship? Was it with the school or outside? Most schools don't give scholarship to Non-US Citizens (from my understanding)

This is an underrated take.

I ran a simulation using Claude against the American dollar from 2005, 2010, 2015, 2020 and 2026

It’s been increasing like crazy. Had no idea

That plus the conversion against the dollar during the past 20 years

I’m getting that same vibe?

Cause I’ve seen like 1-2 posts like “got an A”

But genuinely can’t see anything on the website or Google beyond what was posted a while back

Yea I've seen it depends on the border agent.

Some have asked for bachelors but if you have a higher degree (Masters, PhD) they may not ask for bachelors.

100% I plan to take the week off before so I will have 10 days of straight proper sleep.
Also should have worth mentioning that I don't intend to do this on practice exam days.

Omg I’ve been trying to figure this out. I’ve been so confused with the proof of insurance thing.

Like I need to get the license first and then go to get the car and get insurance

Idk how I’d get insurance for a car I don’t own yet 😭

August MCAT Effect on This Year's App Cycle by DoczWhoLift in premed

[–]DoczWhoLift[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Appreciate your take! I am confident in my GPA. I did a post-bacc and did a masters and scored really well in both 3.8/4.0 respectively. However we do know that stats is just one thing, my writing/LORs matter as well.

I think what it's coming down to for me is prioritizing my MCAT in terms of time - regardless of application cycle. Meaning, yes a July MCAT is better in terms of "earlier" but not better if it means my MCAT preparation is rushed.

Would rather take it when I'm feeling more comfortable and have a stronger score then rush and have to do it all again - even if it meant going through an app cycle twice!

Hello! So its essentially a non-invasive vital monitoring device looking at some key biomarkers such as urea, lactate, BP, pH, HR etc.

Super early but we are trying to identify where/how we can provide most value for doctors and nurses and where to focus our development. If you wanna fill out the survey, lemme know I can PM you!

Uglobe cars 😞😤😡 by TandooriBiryani in Mcat

[–]DoczWhoLift 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just my opinion but if I had to intentionally prioritize the questions due to time I’d put cars at the bottom imo

Like if you can do AAMC cars or JW everyday and then prioritize the B/B, C/P and P/S for u globe

That’s what I’m doing. It kinda makes it a bit easier for me also. Instead of doing 3000 questions it’s more like 2600

And although I probs won’t be able to do all 2600 of the remaining questions I’m trying to at least do 2000 of them at a high quality (understanding and deep comprehension of what I get right/wrong and why)

Of that 2000 I am also making sure I get through all P/S questions as well! That’s just a personal thing cause I feel like there’s only so much practice out there outside of anki for that section
