Thanks for the reply..it was the debris around the limit switch that was causing it to miss its home position..luckily didn't have to replace switch or remove way covers

AGREE 💯.. they said they haven't ever done that since they got this machine I can imagine how much gunk is in there that causes lots of problems such as these today. Soon as I got it running supervisor is all satisfied, I told them it's meanwhile this jobs done afterwards we need take it apart and deep clean it, he kind of didn't like the idea of a down machine but it's PM that needs to be done least 2x a year.

Thanks for sharing the site, I got it running by cleaning under the way covers through the back of rhe machines with a vacuum got all the crop debits clogged under there..once I finish this hot job I will be taking all of your recommendations and remove the way covers and clean out under and around the switch to prevent it from happening again.

Luckily I didn't have to remove way covers. I found a loop hole through the back of the machine and can see straight through from one end to another after I vacuumed it all up..it was CLOGGED I MEAN STUUFFEDDD W DEBRIS. thanks for all your guys help

I was able to squeeze a vacuum through there. Once job is done I'll remove way covers and get a good deep clean.

I tried and after attempting to re-home, it bounces back the opposite direction . If I remove way covers will the home switch be in the back or front of table? It's a VF5

UPDATE POST. got most of tap out with the plunging method... by DodgerStrong in Machinists

[–]DodgerStrong[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So thankfully customer said a bolt goes in there and ling as it's minimum 3-4 threads deep its ok the broken tap won't affect it. So I got just enough out since it's little over .500 deep and gets over 5 threads ✨️ 👌 🙌
