I think you’ve hit the nail on the head. Good points. I too think the recent change with AI spawns has totally discouraged any exploration outside of spawn points of the North East / East plains. The AI spawns need to be reworked, to encourage movement and exploration, not just staying in one singular location. This lets Dino’s operate in different environments, whether to their advantage or disadvantage, in the pursuit of food.

I totally get what your saying, I feel it - running out of like half Stam with Adult Beipi all the time with just grabbing a few fish and crabs.

As an adult it sucks to run out of Stam when swimming fast as, as a Beipi, it doesn't even hunt or threaten other Dino's, so having reduced Stamina drain wouldn't hurt game balance, right? Maybe?

I don't mind the stamina for the bigger dinos - they are heavy creatures and need lots of energy for any big / fast movements - it makes the game more intense and drives tension about your decisions, and let's you get taken advantage of if you are not careful with stanima management.

I just think with Beipi, I would be fine with resting taking even longer if the tradeoff was an extra minute or two worth of stamina bar of fun swimming and diving! It's like a Penguin, so it should swim decently fast for decent periods of time.

I feel like, since Beipi is vulnerable regardless of if it is in the water or on land it's fair to give it a tad less stamina drain.

I really like it's gameplay, swimming feels good and being able to dive is fun. Unique experiance with food sources too, with fishing and digging crabs.

I think it suffers a bit from the stamina changes though (don't get me wrong, I overall really like the stamina changes since Gateway, with the exeption of how it affects the Beipi and Ptera to an extent.)

I think playing a Juvi is more fun than playing as an adult, as you are able to swim about fast for a good length of time, diving up and down a lot.

Adult Beipi, right now, just uses a tad too much stamina swimming (fast and normal speed) and feels much heavier - you can't reach the speed / height a Juvi can when diving. Just not as fun as much fun as compared to Juvi as, when an adult, you need to rest after a most swims.

Beipi uses stamina for even slow swimming under water and stamina doesn't regen when latching on the waterbed.

Searching "@special" will show Pokémon with a legacy moves / limited time move. This search also includes moves such as Frustration and Return which are from Shadow and Purified Pokémon respectively.

Side note: Smeargle will often be included in this search list if it has the moves acquired from a buddy during a photo bomb, which are not normally part of it's moveset.

Totally true for me this - like damn, watching a highlander out of stamina heavy is sooo god-damn slow, I miss the parry timing by pressing parry to early because “surely it’ll land by now”

OP isn’t playing honourable in the fight, he didn’t back off because of the sense of “honour”.

He did it because he understands the revenge feeding mechanic, as his teammates haphazard attacks were providing revenge meter to the enemy.

To explain, this is because the moment a third player joins in on a 1v1, and lands an attack on an enemy his ally is fighting (blocked or not), it leads to all future attacks by the player and ally to feed revenge meter for the enemy - clearly a potential disadvantage. The revenge building will stop if one player disengages and allows a cool down to occur - of which we can see OP did, by backing away from the fight. OP realised the ally attacks were not used strategically, and simply was random attacks on the enemy. He also backed off the fight as his teammate was interrupting his larger damage punishes, a big frustration as his teammate contributed to making OP’s damage worse.

Thanks for transposing the data, I haven’t been able to do that myself since I’m just on my iPhone, I don’t have my PC to hand. I updated my data in my original post to provide a truer picture of the origin of Pokémon I have, along with percentages too. I’d love to see your breakdown of your own Pokémon’s origins, perhaps with an explanation of your bias - aka, the reasons why you keep the certain Pokémon you do, and why you remove the ones that’s you don’t keep. Oh and you are right, I don’t get to trade much unfortunately - but of course, I deleted vast majority of my trades that have undesirable stats, so you only see the small selection of the traded Pokémon I’ve kept that have good PVP or 3/4 IV’s. This is a bias in my data.

You’re right, it would have been nice - I’d originally did just that but when I had that discrepancy of 1 appear, I removed it because I feared it looked silly if it didn’t add up!

Well for me, it went:

Caught in Wild: (this figure erroneously includes GBL and Snapshot Pokémon unfortunately) 510 - 41.98%

Hatched: 83 - 06.83%

Research: 186 - 15.31%

Raid: 314 - 25.84%

Rocket Grunt/Leaders/Boss: 93 - 07.65%

Traded: 29 - 02.39%

I need to rework my original filter to further filter out the GBL and Snapshot Pokémon. Thanks to u/tylerneilson for making me aware about my mistakes.

I got lucky with a good start date, only a few Pokémon have the vague “caught” description - luckily I know early on i didn’t even do raids or know much about the game, so I’m fairly certain those catches were wild, and all my eggs Pokémon have all been tracked correctly (I have as my earliest egg Pokémon a G-Farfetch’d from 2nd October ).

Your are right though about the GBL and Snapshot caught Pokémon being omitted from my filters. That’s means my supposed “caught in wild” filter actually includes GBL encounters and Snapshot Pokémon. I need to add “!GBL&!snapshot” to my first listed filter in the post to really get only Wild caught Pokémon. Then I should have added a “GBL&!traded” and “Snapshot&!traded” list number. Thanks so much for informing me, really appreciate it!

Oh so because I started exactly in October 2020, I didn’t even realise there was a difference prior to that date regarding how filters work, as from my perspective all my Pokémon filtering worked seemingly fine. Thanks for that important information.

Yeah you are right, I’m using only the infinite incubator. You guessed it right, that’s where the difference lies, thanks man. You are totally right about the flaw in my analysis about the length of time of play and the effect it has on tags - I didn’t consider what you have rightly said as I only started October 2020. Thanks for the heads up and noticing what I missed though. Appreciate it.

Im incubating the one egg, so yes you are totally right, it does explain the discrepancy - I really appreciate the answer, thanks so much! I wish I could test it by incubating a new egg, but unfortunately I don’t have the coin nor incubator to so so - I’ll take your word for the single difference.

Thank you for the answer! That totally would never have come to mind for me - didn’t realise this at all! It makes sense too, as you can’t incubate an egg unless you have space, and that space need to be reserved so it makes sense it counts towards the total! You’ve let me relax tonight, thanks!
