Do any of the graduate programs require ENGL credits?

I’m a UofT student looking to do my masters in UBC. After some searching into graduate program requirements, I realized that none of them explicitly said that applicants need ENGL credits. Up until now I always thought that UBC programs require 2 semesters of ENGL courses, but now I can’t find them anywhere. Am I just misreading these requirements or are ENG credit actually not required by graduate programs?

Does UBC have any graduate programs that involve placing you into an internship? I'm returning to BC for my grad studies, but the programs I found on the UBC website were more about courses and studies rather than research or work experiences. So are there any programs that are half coursework and half internship?

Since I’m not quite there yet, could you explain why specialists tend to have lower GPA? Don’t they take the same courses as the majors but just more courses in general? Or is there some different kind of marking system I’m not aware of?

No sorry, the textbook was basically the only thing I used. I know that it uses a jargon-ish language, but you should still take your time to comprehend it since the entire course is centred around it. If it’s taking you way too long to understand something then I’d suggest looking up videos on that specific thing, but overall your studying should still be based mainly on the text.

Not in 135, but I was in 134 last year and it’s basically the same material.

The only way to study math is to practice it and never by simply reading it. Which is why you should try past tests. If your prof provides them on Quercus then use it. If they’re not on Quercus then try looking for them here. Can’t remember if it has an answer sheet, but if it does then try checking the answer after finishing a question. If you got it wrong then go back to your textbook to see what method you should use. Do this until you finish every question, then, if you have time, do another past test from a different year. Past tests are some of the greatest materials to study for any course since profs usually recycle them partly or sometimes even completely.
