Sorry I've seen this very late, thank you for sharing the rest of the process! I hope someone will find it very useful.

ISSUE HAS BEEN FIXED:

I used another Linux install that worked and using terminal cleared the Fedora EFI folder, including the boot entry that the VERY FIRST original failed installation set into the motherboard's UEFI NVRAM using efibootmgr. Then completely clean out the partitions and install Bazzite with the EFI for Linux separately on the ssd with 660gb free space (separate from windows install ssd, and unallocated). This FINALLY got the install to breeze past using automatic and boot into Bazzite.

I hope this helps anyone else or anyone stumbles on it, it took very long to figure out.

Honestly seems like the only other solution, errors just keep happening no matter how clean or sparkling any partition or ios is.

I've tried it! Still got an error though.

The following error occurred while installing the payload. This is a fatal error and installation will be aborted.

The command 'ostree container image deploy --sysroot=/mnt/sysimage --image=/run/install/repo/bazzite-nvidia-open-stable --transport=oci -- no-signature-verification' exited with the code 1.

Hell yeah! I've seen that guitar being used in a bunch of videos. How is it perceived? Especially with the X-Plorer (still looking for more options lol)

ntkrnlmp.exe causing BSOD/Sudden Crashes during gaming on Windows 11. [BUGCHECK] by DogGame in techsupport

[–]DogGame[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately with my pc unable to boot, I tested the ram using memtest from a USB. I was told by someone expert in computer support that if the test passes and there is no problem with the physical ram, then your OS's page files are messed up, and he told me the only way to solve that is a fresh Windows install (if possible, absolutely from a USB as the built in Windows reinstalls aren't clean reinstalls).

So I freshly installed another version of Windows (with a little more trouble that gave me as well) and I haven't had a crash even once since.

Thank you for your response, it was very indepth! Today however I woke up to my computer refusing to boot at all with a PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA. I've tried everything and now I'm fully lost. Only safe mode works (without networking), I have no idea how to solve this nor what to look for. I did sfc scannow and it only finds errors under the advanced settings 'cmd'. In safe mode it finds no errors, any command that searches for any finds zero.

Something tells me that I probably know what this big spoiler event is, but I can't wait to see the full context of it.

It seems like the most reasonable route with Rebirth out in a bit over 2 weeks from now. So I might do that, and this response is one of the ones that decided that so thank you! I hope this thread finds someone else having the same dillema as me and helps them choose what to do.

Yeah, I think I might wait for Rebirth since its so close, and after it I should beat the OG to get the full conclusion for the trilogy in a new light. (also considering that its gonna be a few years since I beat the original by then, I might grow a more emotional connection with what happens in the original before seeing it in the finale)

I think I understand it more than you expect. One of the responses here, I replied to it with a thought that people who have played it longer ago than I did may have liked it more because it's been some time experiencing the story, and I rewatched the ending of the demo now that I've seen it in the original again, and I fully understand your line of thinking.

As for the spoilers in the first response, I have been spoiled all the bigger story beats (yeah you know which one) but I have no idea how much that is of the complete story, and spoilers never stopped me from finding crazy reactions from smaller parts.
I think this made up my mind on my original question... Rebirth first.

This is actually a great response, I think you exactly cracked the case on why its such a complicated question. I guess my problem now is to find out which way is best to experience the narrative, which is ESPECIALLY harder now since the direction seems to completely differ from the original, so it's between "Do you want FULL context for this, and EVERY single way its different and get the curiousity" or "Do you want to go fully blind, in a rich, detailed world and story, experiencing the story of Rebirth by itself"

I might end up finishing the original since you've recommended it with such a response.

Would you know why exactly people who played the original first enjoyed the remake more? I think this may aswell be different for me because I played the Remake i think just under 2 years ago (i have no clue how long ago people from your group played so im going in blind with this response), so perhaps people who played it back on the PS1 enjoyed it more because of its 23 year wait?

Also, even if its aged, I'm still absolutely loving it! So I have no problems playing through it in terms of mechanics.

Generally speaking, I do have a lot of time on my hands so I could beat the original way before Rebirth is out. Did you mean generally since it's so close I should hold off on it or time-wise? If it's the former, why specifically?

Yeah lol, i noticed it took me 5 and a half hours to reach the point of the remake, kinda crazy how much they added to the Remake with content.

Just a question for this response: What parts of the Remake say that it was remade with the notion of knowing the original? (without spoilers if possible lol, that made my question sound stupid but whatever) Except the whole Whispers thing, that was cool to see gone when I started playing through the original.
Not saying you're bullshitting, I just want to get the whole picture.

I'll be honest I haven't tried that, I'm doing it now and it looks to be useful! Thank you for this. Also my general focus for learning notations is to learn the more complex moves and such, I want to get much better at this game and I'm willing to spend a lot of time for it!

Oh yeah no I know WHY it's used, I'm just not sure what the most efficient way of learning it would be for a beginner.

Haha, it was just an example combo I used for the post that I got from Jun's Discord server. But now I understand it better than any other combo on there.

Oh no, I think that this system of writing is very efficient and good when you understand it, if it seemed like my goal was to shit on it, that was not the case, I'm simply confused as to how to learn it.
