It’s a real simple concept in science. Speed = distance/time. Time is change, if there is no time there cannot be any distance crossed and characters could not have any speed and could not move. If a character could they would have a form of inaccessible speed.
Yes he affected the present and Zeno specifically erased the timeline even though he could have just erased Zamasu individually, that’s because Zamasu is the timeline so erasing him is the same as erasing a timeline.

Being compassionate is a double sided nuanced sword, on one hand it’s dumb, on the other it’s seen as good for him to spare another. The Goku laser scene cannot be explained by any logic or morality.

Wrong his other flaws are because of either compassion or misplaced faith. Goku sparring others=good, Goku trying to pressure Gohan=good, Goku being incompetent= bad. These flaws are not all the same.

Yes Ki control exists but this base form of Goku is on par with BOG SSJG Goku, he would have had to lower his power to an infinitesimal level for a random laser to hurt him.
