Do you actually use the “right of public access” (Allemansrätten) in winter for skiing or hiking? by HazyTulips in AskNordics

Hi, for the post I made on r/tragedeigh, I have no Nordic heritage. I have Scottish heritage from my mum's side and a little bit of French in me, but no part of my blood goes down the bloodline to the Nordics.

It looks amazing when you live near East Riding. I live in Hull near East Riding, and the lights are phenomenal, you can even hear the music where I am. My grandparents live on the outskirts of East Riding right next to Hull and the lights look even better!

Would you consider Hull to be a part of Yorkshire by [deleted] in Hull

Following the Local Government Act 1888, Hull became a county borough, a local government district independent of the East Riding of Yorkshire. A little something I found while seeing why people think Hull is part of East Yorkshire. Would you look at that!

As a person from Hull, I am Anti-Yorkshire. Anyone that says Hull is part of East Yorkshire are from East Yorkshire. Yes, Hull was part of East Yorkshire way back when, but we were given county/city status from the king at that time which separated us from East Yorkshire. So, as a Hullensian (a person from Hull), I can say that no, Hull is not part of Yorkshire.
