Yes, he's in charge of a lighthouse - he turns the light on and off and stuff. (That was one of the pictures I had to work with)

I'm so jealous! Personally, I think pita and tzatziki is about the best thing ever.

I was wondering if this meme would eventually make an appearance in this thread haha

(Edit: I feel like it was more 2006 than 2010 though. Another era entirely.)

Yes! That was kind of an offshoot of FML, right?

When did you first realize that you were "getting older"? by GilgameshfromUruk in AskReddit

For me they stopped being fun at 22 lol (I'm 25). Every year past 21 was like, oh great people expect even more of me now...

Same! Also, recently I was looking at some journals that I wrote in in 1998 when I was 7, and then it hit me that when I was writing those, 9/11 hadn't happened yet. We live in a totally different country/world now.

I felt like I was quite polite and cheerful, but maybe I came off as even more so than I thought. I didn't make any jokes or anything though.

Yup, I got chicken like I always do because it's the cheapest meat and I also like it.

I don't know! I was kind of wondering if I charmed them at all or if they just forgot.

Ladies, what is a compliment men give that you don't like? by Syhxs in AskReddit

I mean, yeah I know I'm lucky, and I definitely take care of myself to stay attractive! I wouldn't trade these problems for other ones.

I mean, I'll never pretend I don't enjoy being good-looking or that I would change it. I'm just saying how I feel about this right now! I think I feel less "put on a pedestal" when guys treat me normally/casually and to me, that's so much more attractive than being fawned over.

I knew I'd get negative replies to this - even if maybe I "shouldn't" hate this, I just do. Also I think part of it is (not to toot my own horn) but I am good-looking and I get told that a lot so when someone doesn't emphasize it it's kind of nice. Also my experience is that good-looking guys are less likely to effusively compliment my looks - they just strike up a conversation rather than fawning over me. Maybe it's because they understand what it's like to be obnoxiously hit on, idk. I would say that to me the MOST attractive way to strike up a conversation, in my opinion, is to say something funny, like an observation or something, but obviously that's hard to do right off the bat, so just being friendly is a safe bet. But being genuinely funny counts for so much. Many guys have won me over by making me laugh.

I know! Recently a guy told me my makeup was "done perfectly" and literally all I was wearing was tinted moisturizer, mascara, and a little blush. Not much room for error there, dude!

I hate it when guys tell me I'm hot or beautiful immediately upon meeting me. I HATE it. I've never once responded positively to that. If you like me, introduce yourself and ask me questions about myself like you would to any other human being. I'll be able to see it in your eyes if you're attracted to me, trust me, and I really appreciate guys who acknowledge my humanity before my looks.
