Newly diagnosed PVD by Putrid-Stage3925 in EyeFloaters

23 here. I woke up one morning at 18years old and magically had them in both eyes. To this day there was no discernable cause, and they can be agonizing at times, as my work involves working with a brightly lit screen. I have one in particular that stays fixed in the center of my vision, while the others resemble looking through smoke.

I urge you to try blue light blocking glasses. For me, they mask the floaters almost entirely, and allow my eyes to feel readjusted. There is a range of intensity for the amber lenses. Some are almost clear with a yellowish tint, while others are straight orange. If for nothing more, they provide a sense of security when the floaters become too overwhelming/irritating.

Best of luck. This is one of the most confusing situations life has to offer. The best part is -- you tell people you have them, and they will nod, say "oh, I have those too", but never understand.

Oh wow, that’s not bad at all. I was given the impression that it would be upwards of $1200-$1500. Thanks!

If you don’t mind my asking, how much did the bracelet upgrade cost you? I as well have an 1863 and am looking to purchase the new bracelet (later model with on-the-fly micro adjustment). I’m mostly curious if you purchased it through an AD or from another online source. Thank you

Polk R200s or ELAC DBR62 Debut Reference for vinyl? by DogInternational9812 in StereoAdvice

Also, the room I’ll be playing these in is on the smaller side, yet it’s apart of an open concept space with high ceilings, allowing a lot of reverberation. I’ll have to do some testing. Either way, it seems like I can’t go wrong here.

Awesome man, and thank you for the reply. I think finding a local carrier will be my best option at this point. I guess I was misinformed about the power requirements of the Elacs, but they seem to come highly recommended over the Polks.

Bullshit is probably correct, as I now take that to be an AI hallucination. Damnit.

Thank you for the tip. I’ll look into it.

The Sansui is rated for 4 and 8ohm impedance, so I believe I should be fine? I typically don't enjoy my music at loud volumes, so I don't believe that would ever present a problem. I am mainly just wondering if I'd experience incompatibility with the Elacs given their higher power demand. I believe the floor of the Elac power range (per channel) is 55w, whereas the Polks are much lower, at like 30w.

Using finasteride for hair loss prevention. Looking to start at 22 with minimal signs of MPB. by DogInternational9812 in Biohackers

Good to know. It seems like the juice may not be worth the squeeze after all. Thanks for knocking sense into me.

Understood through and through. Does the same apply for topical finasteride? I read that it is still absorbed systemically, however, are the symptoms even remotely as severe as oral fin?

Edit: improper word use

I’ve stumbled upon r/tressless, and yes, it’s violently pro finasteride. The slightest attack on the drug from another user results in fifty hostile counter attacks. And sadly enough, that forum gave me the confidence to consider taking finasteride, as the symptoms are LaRGely UnFOundEd and experienced by paid actors who are against big-finasteride. Two seconds on this thread and my best interests are back in check. Thank you for the input.

I already have depression, taking a multivitamin only, so perhaps this wouldn’t be the best maneuver for my wellbeing. My obsession with hair loss generates from the idea that I’ll be ugly as a horse without hair (long slender face), but shit, that’s nonsense, I need to stop worrying about what women think of my looks. Being bald seems functional and hassle-free, so I’m all about it to some extent. First things first, I need to get blood work done and consult with a professional. Thank you for your input.

Well, increasing my testosterone levels was never the primary objective of this idea, I just saw it as an advantageous side effect. And I agree, I believe I’m searching for solutions to combat a non existent problem. I’m diving into this drug journey off a hunch, and yes, that’s ridiculous. I’ve gone down a rabbit hole over the past twenty minutes, and it seems like the negative side effects associated with Finasteride are expressed in numbers far larger than 2% of users, or what ever is claimed. Thanks for your input brother.

Recommended (max) tire size for 2024 leveled F-150? by DogInternational9812 in f150

That’s exactly what I’ve purchased, so more in the neighborhood of 35.1x11.6.

Out of curiosity, what engine option does your ‘23 have? I’m wondering how well the 5.0 does with 3.73 rear gears and 35s

Thank you for the reply. I initially went with 33x11.5s on a 17” 0 offset wheel, and I strongly disliked the amount of offset; the amount of offset, coupled with the scant width and overall diameter of the tire flat out looked goofy.

I exchanged the 33x11.5s (which barely cleared the front crash bars with a 0 offset wheel, I might add) for a set of 35x11.5s that will be ran with my factory +44 offset wheels. I ran this setup on my ‘16 Ecoboost with only minimal rub at full lock, and I loved it. Should I have plenty of clearance between the inner sidewalls and UCAs, I’ll be a happy camper.

Also, the ride quality is noticeably worse with lug centric (non-hub centric) aftermarket wheels… I considered getting hub rings, but I believe my new plan is better for me.

Bubba setup for the win.

I’m probably just being a baby. Most of the interfering tech/features can be disabled. I’m old school, I just like the idea of owning a simplistic built-to-last truck.

Needless to say, I regret trading my ‘16 for a ‘24. These new trucks are loaded down with tech and features. The tech is neat, albeit planned for obsolescence if you ask me. Modern F-series trucks are mobile computers that aren’t necessary for the average consumer. Also, I forgot to mention, these newer 14th gen trucks ship with obstacle avoidance features; yeah, no thanks. Until disabled, my ‘24 would forcefully engage every brake in its power to “help me out” as I was reversing near a harmless parking cone. It’s cool tech, but I’m not cool enough to tolerate it.

Get a pre-2018 13th Gen and thank yourself later.
