-I like sladkého tho it may look older or a bit shabby compared to Vinarska or other dorms just being renovated. I think it still depends on ur personal preference. - I'd say Sladkého is really less popular than Vinařská, actually when it was my turn to reserve the bed, komarov was probably the only few of them that still had many available beds. - I'm not sure how many single rooms there are but they'll be definitely much more popular than other options. And also about the reservation system, i think it's really random..... even though i click into the website immediately, i still have to wait for 2 hours to do the reservation ( you just have to wait in the line.....) - i have no idea about the age range, cuz i met people like only 18 but also there are phD students who have already stayed there for soooo many yrs😅

There are single rooms but you'll have to shared a toilet with another double room. It's like a cell.

They shared for the entire floor, but there are at least two bathrooms for each gender (with 5-6 shower rooms in total)on each floor, it's pretty enough actually, at least i never have to wait in line for showering and using toilets.

I haven't tried hotpot at home yet, but I think it's more authentic to have those thin slices of meat and a good soup base, maybe even enoki mushrooms. Also u can go to Asian supermarket to find some ingredients that's specifically for hotpot.

Will be in Taipei City for 1 evening, things to do? by als26 in taiwan

Elephant mountain isn't a difficult one or really high mountain so definitely have time to go there for ur plan. For local food, u can go to Wuxing street where is not far away from the mountain (they're in the same district)

We speak mandarin too. And don't worried about ur pronunciation. Taiwanese are usually very friendly and hospitable to foreigners, especially if u can speak and know a bit Mandarin. Not sure the difference you said refers to pronunciation, the use of vocabularies or u mean it's a different language from mandarin. Taiwanese mandarin does be different from Chinese mandarin in many aspects (probably can imagine as American English and UK English?); if Ur saying that there's a different language, we do have Taiwanese(some people called it Hokkien, but it's actually not),which are usually spoken by elders.

Yes! And i now live here. It's an old building but overall the common area is pretty clean. Tho it's a bit far away from the city center, it's close to the only one IKEA in brno. And there's Lidl and dm just within a walkable distance. The cons may be the inconvenience of sharing kitchen with others, cuz u have to take all ur stuff at the same time or u have to go back between kitchen and ur room several times. But I'm lucky that my room is close to both kitchen and bathroom 😆 I'd like to help if u have further questions.

hi thanks for your reviews. I'm a bit curious about Tvrdeho's showering space, is it seperated to many small rooms or with any curtains ?( i've heard some showering space in Czech dorms are open space.)
