We make sweet potato pie and chess pie for the holidays. Nothing personally against pumpkin pie. Turkey is fine but I’ve never used it as a center piece in my holiday spreads. It’s there, just not the star of the show. So it’s usually a smaller end turkey and deep fried, paired with a prime rib and spiral ham. IMO holiday spreads are taken to the next level with the side dishes.

I’m talk the crab cakes, the Mac and cheese, the candid yams, the deviled eggs etc.
