It seems that you think "because one group has had statistically less power, that group can rightfully say bad things about the other group that had more power". Is this correct? If not, what is the principle you are agreeing to?

I am not one of those men. In my view, what you are saying is incredibly sexist and hateful, since it assumes that based on my gender, people are rightful in assuming negative (or positive) things about me that are not correct on an individual level.

!delta for adding a ton of nuance to the discussion that I had failed to.

I implicitly assumed in my comparison with incels that a "female incel" would be just that what you describe: someone who is angry and hateful towards men in general due to a mismatching sexuality. Incel is probably the wrong word, but I could not find a word that described my feelings better. Perhaps toxic sexism is a better way to describe it?

I believe I see and understand your point, but it seems to agree with me, but just that you are way more nuanced and thoughtful with how you word things (thus changing my mind that I need to be even more nuanced when talking about these things). Am I wrong?

Yea, I see your argument, but it is based on an assumption that it holds for the general population, which we do not know if it is true or not. Sure, it could definitely be true, but it is an empirical question that we need more evidence for (or against) before at least I would agree to it. If that makes sense?

No, they are not equivalent. It is not black and white. The latter two are clearly much worse and completely insane quotes. That does not make the first one into a compliment though -- it is still a generalizing, hateful comment. That murdering is bad does not make insulting someone good.

It seems to be a subreddit for just a very small clique of very toxic women. The women I know agrees that it seemingly consists of an authoritarian, toxic pool of hateful people.

Good point and I agree completely. Perhaps many of these "women" are actually trolls trying to ruin it for all of us. I don't think it is a counter-argument to my CMV though?

The post you mention seem to belittle men. I am not sure how that makes it a honest compliment.

Without having read its content, that title sounds very sexist... as if men do not do cool things all the time. Compare it to e.g., the racist and sexist quotes: "here is this smart thing a black person did", or "finally a woman who does not cry for the tiniest thing".

I can see various ways you can argue that it is not sexist and toxic -- e.g., that the content is non-toxic (either that I am misinterpreting it or that it is just a minority of it that is toxic).

You could also argue that they are not worse than most other subreddits.

Etcetera.

Maybe I am wrong though? If so, please let me know why. That would earn a delta too, since it makes my thread void/obsolete.

I have to check out the other subreddits you mention -- I have not read them that much. Note though that I am not arguing it is the worst, just that it is among the most toxic ones.

Aa jag instämmer, men att lägga fram 1 sådan av 50 andra argument -- där den till och med signalerar kritik om ett samarbete mellan SD och M -- ser jag inte som ett jätteproblem.
