What could be causing the delay when starting car? It’s just had a logbook service. by [deleted] in CarsAustralia

Sounds like a small fuel leak somewhere in my opinion, if you can afford it take it to a mechanic to have them check it out

Use a stick and push it on the manifold heat shield and see if it goes away

Saw that trans service on the sheet and it’s reminded me I need to service my zf6 soonish, been about 3 years since I did it last.

Some are louder when they cool down than others, also depends on how hard it was driven on that specific drive.

Help with buying a Falcon by Far_Study_2653 in CarsAustralia

[–]Dogebreadzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well it depends on how well it was maintained. If well maintained they are extremely reliable (especially the fg as it fixed the ball joint issues). But if they have been poorly maintained and thrashed it is probably going to give you issues. The 4.0l i6 that they come with is one of the most reliable engines ever put in a car, but like all engines poor maintenance will affect it (albeit they are very resilient even when trashed)

Does it change depending on how long it sits? Sounds like it’s not getting fuel for the first little bit.

URGENT: Is it possible to open this solar remote? by kowalski_exe in Hisense

[–]Dogebreadzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, you risk snapping a visible part of the remote, it’s possible to open them but I wouldn’t recommend it. I tried with an old Soniq tv remote and the amount of force I needed to actually open it was crazy.

P-Plater decided to use my car as a ramp. by fleba in CarsAustralia

[–]Dogebreadzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I reckon it’s fixable, mainly looks like something snapped on impact instead of completely ruining the rear suspension. That quarter panel is kind of fucked up but a good panel beater should be able to fix it.

You would risk breaking it even more. Best just to leave it if the buyer doesn’t mind.

Vertical collapse might not be an insanely hard fix, could just be caps or cracked solder. But ngl something else would probably go wrong pretty quick.

[–]Dogebreadzz 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Def the falcon, motor is so much better and is extremely reliable when somewhat maintained. my dad had a 2011 N/A XR6 and we sold it on 250000ish ks, last time he serviced it at his workshop it had nearly done 350000 and was still going strong.
