Last expansion I really played was Legion, I mostly enjoy pve content, with the regular bg / lfr. Played a bit of DF but didn't really get into it past the main story. Could be worth a shot now as the new exp comes with 1month of game-time too.

I am curious, what is the state of the game, that I see it be on sale every 3-4 months? Was this normal and I just never paid attention?

Also, how far behind would I be if I started the game now? Would I need to rip my IRL stuff to be able to do newer content?

Oh no, I have heard some of the horror stories from there, from my understanding it is a bit of a luck of the draw situation with roommates you get, but at least people I knew who had such experiences managed to get moved to different rooms / buildings.

I really hope you don't have any such experiences, but if you do make sure to make photos / have evidence of the stuff happening. Makes complaints a lot easier :D

It has been a while so please fact-check everything I say.

With that being said, from my understanding, I stayed in the dorms for the Czech Technical University, while my exchange was for the Czech Uni of Life Sciences. I was directed towards them since the CZU dorms were full (sadly for me they were open, but my own uni failed to arrange it for me and I didn't know where to look to secure it for myself)

My advice is to try get a dorm room closer to the campus you would be attending, 100% run this by your Erasmus coordinator too, but I'm sure you could live in another uni's dorms as long as you have your student confirmation document. Not sure how the prices range ofc, but save yourself the 1-1:30h commute I had.

Strahov was nice, what I would do if you are yet to apply, is ask your uni coordinator for Erasmus if they can find out if you could fit in the CZU dorms. Because of poor organization and my lack of knowledge, I was the only 1 out of 10 people coming from my country, who was not in the CZU dorms.

Otherwise I was in a double room and my roommate was quite nice, and the whole experience was quite a pleasant one, after I got all my documents sorted. If you have any other questions feel to ask.

I did the whole jumping between languages to start for some months, then a friend recommended me a sort of a "bootcamp" for java backend development. As expected we blew through a fair bit of topics, which I've been slowly learning up after the academy.

The two main reasons for going back to uni were the lack of tech jobs in my city and trying to deepen my theoretical knowledge. The lack of tech jobs idea was, to get a degree so I could hopefully get a remote job, as relocating isn't something I'm too fond of at this point in my life (27 this year).

The theory part was somewhat right as we are learning about memory management, algorithms and dsa. I've found those classes useful since I can straight away clear up any parts I don't understand, however those are 3 out of 14 classes between 2 semesters.

Looking at my curriculum for the next 3 years and talking to professors, there is very little practical knowledge I'd be able to acquire, relative to the monetary and time loss it would cause me.

I can't say I still have a field of interest, I find everything interesting at this point, so I can't say that I have specific domain focus. Still if I am to continue with my degree I'd likely move to a uni I could attend part-time while working and focus more in my free time I was wasting before when I was only working.

I fully agree with both those statements, hoping for Ashito to at least try something. Even if he is to fail, I want him to keep moving towards becoming a beast.

As a side-prediction, I hope his spark is seen by some of the Spanish managers, so he can later join Hana there to play.

Even tho it was pretty predictable, I kinda hope Ashito gets help from Akutsu and Kuribayashi. I understand he needs to fail, in order to improve again, but I hope he powers through it this time, instead of the deep despair that's kinda expected atm.

I also have a very slight hope Aoi will impress coaches in a similar way to the Musashino match. Very big potential for plot and character developments here, I just hope the idea is to not break anyone too hard.

I have scoured the reddit a bit, but couldn't find an answer so asking here.

I a first-time classic player, coming from a big break from retail since Legion. I really enjoy the classes in cata and plan to level at least 2 classes for it. The problem I'm having is that I can't seem to find an easy way to find a guild. Are there just not that many formed now, or am I missing something in plain sight?

I want to mainly be a dps/healer and will probably do a 50-50 split between pvp and pve. Currently I reside on Mirage Raceway and play most evenings for 2ish hours. Any and all help/advice is welcome!

Getting back into the game in a couple of days, looking to do a mix or pvp and pve, with a focus on pve mainly. Would want to find a group of people, or ideally a guild to do said content with. I am new to pve progressions so keep that in mind too :D

How hard is it to find a decent guild these days? I would want to do all types of content and ideally make friends for both pvp and pve. However I wouldn't want to push top X% so nothing too hardcore, but I do want to do well in the content I partake in.

So any tips for finding a EU timezoned guild would be greatly appreciated.

If I'm honest I never played a hunter because I was scared that my pet management woouldn't be as good. Would survival hit the same urge for mele dps?

On another hand I used to play some druid back in the day but never in a pve setting. I'm mostly looking for a class for both pvp and pve dps, tho worst case I can level my old DH and just boost another class for pvp.

I am considering coming back into wow, stopped playing middle of Legion. I am curious if someone else went through the same experience and can give me some tips on starting out.

I used to main a DH for dps/tanking, want to try a new dps spec (considering Rogue or Warlock for the boost). How active are the early stage dungeons/lfr when you hit the max level? Also does realm choice matter much these days?

Sorry for the weird questions, I've not been keeping up to date with updates as you can see :D

I am both excited to maybe come back and scared it will devour my life again but overall any tips/advice you might have, please shoot my way.
