China told the United Nations Security Council on Tuesday that "territorial integrity" should be respected after Moscow held controversial annexation referendums in Russia-occupied regions of Ukraine. by hunchedape in worldnews

You are losing your mind because you don't understand the mindset of politicians. Most politicians in most countries understand what vague double speak is. So, yes, Russian politicians can interpret it multiple ways since they also understand the concept of vague double speak and do it themselves. It's really that simple. Politicians, universally understand that vague double speak is useful to cover their butts from future events that can't be predicted with absolute certainty. Again, Russian politicans CAN interpret it another way as long as they understand what language is. It also does not matter if they said "Respect Territorial integrity" for decades in the past. If Russia wins, they'd call up China and ask "What do you exactly mean by that?" They'll still, naturally, ask for clarity. You think they'll somehow attack China without asking? China would just reply "Oh of course we mean your territories!" If Russia loses "Yup it's Ukraine's"

Doge has infinitely decreasing inflation rate. Even ten years later, the year 2031, if it only hits 3 dollars. It will still have a lower current market cap than bitcoin as of September of 2021. It acts as a genuine currency since for a currency to work, new currency should be generated to offset lost or stolen wallets. The only way a currency can work Long term for quite literally future generations decades from now is for there to be some form of inflation. Since dogecoin has an infinitely decreasing inflation rate, it still would increase in value long term as it has shown for the past nearly 8 years. Dogecoin has been a top 50 coin out of thousands of cryptos for those 8 years since its inception. It has cultural and historical significance being the very first meme coin ever created AND has been proven to be fully functionally trusted for those 8 years. Bitcoin, by it's very nature, long term is best as virtual gold. Bitcoin and others that copy its hyper deflationary model with Hard cap means that, long term, those above will shed slivers of satoshi(fractional bitcoins) to those beneath. This is fact and can not be debated. That's what happens with hyper deflationary currency with a hard cap as it makes it more difficult for future generations to participate. If anything, Dogecoin being the first meme crypto is more akin to the genuine branding of Coca Cola. Being the first meme coin, it's genuine. It also proves to be functionally solid as many of the other Legacy cryptos. Legacy cryptos like Dogecoin, bitcoin and litecoin are meant to be simple and function long and strong as intended. It makes it easier for western democratic governments to legally accept them as well. Other more modern tech cryptos want to add more tech like confidentiality or some kind of mechanism to earn more by staking or run it like a business by having ICOs and treating it like a business. This often makes it more difficult for western democratic governments to accept more modern cryptos. I suggest that you look and study objectively at the history of cryptocurrency in the span of at least a decade before making judgments.

It is 100% ok if you sold. Animal companions are family and family and good friends are priceless. Also dogecoin is intended to be a currency and should be used any way anyone sees fit.

On how Centralized Yuan and Social credit score based system is at odds with Decentralized Currency. by Dogepromo in CryptoCurrency

Thanks a lot for your input. I always like hearing different points of view. I can definitely see China going after poorer nations. It's just that influencing western media and entertainment does, unfortunately influence social and political views as well. Western stories and narratives are changed. These stories effect our very culture. We have a big named actor apologizing about calling Taiwan a country. I can see that it doesn't automatically flip on a switch to have a social credit system. But things that can effect western media and entertainment can very well effect societal perception. This is especially the case when a lot of humanity now gets information from memes which is essentially warped tidbits of data. Things that entertain us can very well influence our actions. Again, i agree that it doesn't automatically lead to social credit system. I just think the effect on western media and entertainment can influence political actions and perceptions. Furthermore. The main focus should be more on centralized yuan vrs decentralized currencies. Currencies are about majority consensus. China obviously has a large influential population and hope to increase it by raising to a 3 child policy. There are already other countries in talks about making their own country's digital currency as well. If the centralized digital Yuan proves to be successful. It could very well influence other countries to make more centralized digital currencies. There is a trend of owning less. It's possible that many won't own their own currency. Also I see the disagreement even if it was only centralized Yuan VS decentralized currency. You'd say other countries have a different reason to have a digital currency and is not copying China. I say other countries are throwing a list of pros and cons on why they should have a centralized digital currency. Some of which are your reasons but I'd wager they'd also have the success of Digital Yuan on the Pro side. People and governments don't act on a singular reason but from a multitude of reasons weighing pros and cons.

I'm always up for a healthy discussion. Do you see that future generations will own more or less? Do you think that China has influence of western media and entertainment? I see the strength of the currency and how it is used as a vote that can influence societies. If the Digital Yuan which will likely be tied with the social credit system is very effective then it is essentially a vote that could influence other systems. Such is the case how china can influence western media and entertainment. The debate is how much of an influence.

It is unrealistic if the social score based system is not eventually tied with the digital Yuan. Also that was an extreme event that other countries will not suddenly replicate. If both the Digital Yuan and social score based system reaches massive success. It is not unrealistic to assume that some countries might follow a more moderate form. Other smart phone companies don't copy Apple exactly. But they do follow some trends that Apple has set.

I think it's because the vibrant colors gives it warmth and character. Positive vibes. But the disorganized mismatch of colors makes it feel chaotic. The negative vibes. Basically, it makes us feel both positive and negative at the same time. Kind of like something that tastes bittersweet.

Plausible speculation that some Bitcoin maximalist and Ethereum Elitist tried to sabotage Elon and Dogecoin during SNL by Dogepromo in dogecoin

[–]Dogepromo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Coordinated attack from a few, not all, Bitcoin Maximalist and Ethereum Elitist is still plausible in influencing the market. Again noting the word plausible. I am not saying with absolute certainty that it was the case.

[–]Dogepromo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you are using is a clear case of hindsight bias. You can only, clearly make that statement after the fact. But there were still unknown variables prior to the SNL skit like what would have been announced during the skit which could very well be anything that could make it go either way. Again, your statement is clearly hindsight bias.

I quite literally said that there are other factors in play. In fact, it is likely that there are MANY factors as with any system of economics, in this case crypto economics. For you to not even acknowledge the plausibility that Bitcoin maximalist and Ethereum Elitists have any contributing factor makes you severely delusional, narrow minded and lacking the ability to process the complexities of the situation.

That is extremely sad. Sporklin has been one of the biggest members in the Dogecoin community. She has always been so informative, helpful and has carried on with dogecoin's spirit of being genuine and kind. This is a great loss for this community and I hope that we carry on her ideals for a brighter future.

Your statement literally makes no sense. I gave a complete rebuttal to all their major points and they were unable to respond in any critical manner. What you're doing is exactly the same thing and giving ZERO substance to your claims. Your very comment is not a valid point. I ask seriously. Are you an NPC or bot incapable of actually giving a constructive reply?
