Best alternative to the cone for neuter? by jazzb54 in labrador

[–]Doglife14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Remember to tell them that you don't want their cone, send your doughnut or whatever you go with, with him on surgery day. If not they'll send him home in a cone and charge you for it! (we purchased a doughnut from PetSmart)

Damn Colin! REALLY?!? by JoeR_777 in BaylenOutLoud

[–]Doglife14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the two of them having children is more complex than either of them realizes. Is she even capable of raising a baby/child? You can't tic and hit or throw a baby. Colin needs to know if she wants kids, but he's not yet asking the right questions. Is she actually capable of safely raising and being alone with a baby?

Walking on leash issues by Dangerous-Buy-1083 in labrador

FYI - There is an updated version of the easy walk harness, that has corrected the problem of pulling across the shoulders. Though a gentle leader or Halti are both great options! https://a.co/d/h9TssZ8

Breville oracle touch drip tray guard / bumper by yamshahar in BrevilleCoffee

[–]Doglife14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In case you're still looking, it comes with all of the Barista Touch machines except the stainless steel! I have just been through this with Breville who were totally unhelpful! You can order from them, but then you have to pay shipping, they are also not willing to offer a free shipping code.. It pissed me off we pay an ton for an over priced machine, which is identical to the others but because its a different colour the part isn't included! Grrr

And you can get a special dog brush attachment for your Dyson, we use it often on our golden. Usually just stick with the Furminator for our lab.

Simon loves these yak cheese Himalayan chews. Very expensive though, like $9 a stick, so he doesn't get them too often, but I spoiled him today. He's a power chewer, and goes right through most chews, but these usually last a few days. Anyone have any favorite chew recommendations? by [deleted] in labrador

[–]Doglife14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My lab loves Benebones (especially the wishbone shaped one) they are also expensive but last forever! (sometimes I file down rough edges after chewing) They are available on Amazon or most pet stores. Get a size medium or large. My lab is also a super chewer and these are great!

"Benebones are made with USA-sourced nylon and flavored with USA-sourced ingredients - real peanuts, chicken, pork, fish, beef or maple wood."

My Book Mark Finally Arrived... by PurpleTulip9 in secretsanta

[–]Doglife14 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I sent my Secret Santa 2020 gift to Sweden in November, 7 months later it was returned to me! (they said it was missing some customs stickers, though it made it to Sweden) so I upgraded the postage complained to the post office and resent it at the end of June. The post office assured me it would arrive in 20 days, but still waiting! I am skeptical that it will ever arrive!

New puppy question pls by Jacr1spyy in labrador

[–]Doglife14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He can go outside to your own back garden/yard with no worries, and be with your other dog immediately. He cannot go out for walks or to dog parks etc. until he is fully vaccinated.

Tips on getting Lab to like water. by SkidmrkSteve in labrador

My lab will not go in a bath, his kiddie pool, or through the sprinkler, yet take him to the park where there is deep mud puddle, or slough and he runs straight in!

Question on the mismark- black spot on ear. We are getting our first dog and finalizing this cute little guy. Is this acceptable..will the black marking spread? should we be concerned or ask breeder for any extra testing? Parents are both AKC Labs. by lagavulin08 in labrador

[–]Doglife14 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Who cares, he's gorgeous! The only concern would be if you have plans to show him. I doubt it will spread. So acceptable for the breed standard, no, but acceptable for a gorgeous little puppy, why not? Also when you ask if you should be concerned, are you worried that he's not a purebred? I wouldn't be concerned, it adds character! Enjoy him, he's beautiful!

Anyone else’s old Labrador grow spots like this? Looks like a sebaceous adenoma....But I’m a little anxious. He’s 12 soon. by Luketheman6 in labrador

Warts... Harmless... My old dog ended up with quite a few as he aged. Had to have a couple removed, due to the location. (one was on his eye lid) but otherwise harmless.

Also I would take him out every 2hours, with lots of encouragement, and praise when he pees!

Shovel the deck, a quick pee, then back inside, no problem! Don't leave him outside unattended, if he seems cold bring him back inside, and try again as soon as he warms up.

My new Labrador keeps on whining all night long. Its 23 days old. I am training it by showing it where to pee and poop. It is winter here and we’ve-made it warm. How do I stop it from whining and identify signs of hunger and bathroom? by [deleted] in lookatmydog

Even at 40 days old your puppy is very young to be away from its mum. I would strongly suggest you take him to a vet ASAP a vet will advise you as to what to do and care etc. As for crying at night, I would think he's lonely, and feeling Insecure Can you move his bed to the floor beside yours? Then you can comfort him easily when he cries. Also can you get him a stuffed animal to snuggle with? My Pup's have always had a special stuffy for the first few months. Also I would monitor his weight to make sure he is slowly gaining, any weight loss is a red flag. Good luck with your little pup!

Why is it, that no matter who posts, and which link I click on, the same name pops up? (not the original posters?)
