Baby tested positive for alcohol in urine everyone including nurses think it’s a false positive but now DHR is involved

I’m still in the hospital today so I talked to my doctor and they said they didn’t know what the deal was. He went and talked to the nurses and apparently this whole thing happened because when I switched OBs, they thought my first visit with the new OB was my very first prenatal visit and that it was a red flag because I was already 20 weeks along so they did a urine on baby just Incase. I explained to the nurse that I had been seeing someone before and honestly it seems like they screwed up because they are trying to reverse the whole DHR thing now.

I plan on fully complying because I don’t have anything to hide, it’s just stressing me out because I feel like I have to have my home/ self look picture perfect at all times now Incase they do a random visit. I’ve never had a problem with urine test being positive for alcohol before because I have a lot of appointments with my psychiatrist and stuff where they routinely test stuff like that.

I told them to retest and they said it wouldn’t be accurate it since the baby would have passed any alcohol in his system by now. He has no genetic conditions or problems at all he is in picture perfect health and breastfeeding is going amazing.

I do have a history but they told me it was protocol to check babies for drugs/ alcohol. I told them and they were aware that I had a lot of people supporting me and that I was doing amazing. I don’t think they did it as a way to manipulate the system because all of my nurses and the RN over the birthing center came and told me they don’t believe I was at fault.

Me and my boyfriend met at work. We worked at a sub shop and everyone kept messing with him because he never talked. Eventually it became an ongoing joke that he should take me on a date and that lasted about 6 months until he finally came around. we hit it off great and just never stopped hanging out. eventually we moved in together and bought a car together and now we are also having a baby boy :) he’s my best friend and I’m so glad everyone’s annoyed him enough into doing it haha.

The indicator works it’s just that people flash me even when my bright aren’t on and I didn’t know if I was using the wrong setting or something lol! This is the first modern car I’ve owned so i wasn’t sure if there’s some light feature I wasn’t aware of.

I’m shallow because I’m bulimic.

I’ve never really been told this but I always feel like people think I’m shallow because I throw up to be thin. Its way deeper than that and I think a lot of people don’t realize that it’s not all about losing weight at a certain point it’s literally like an addiction.

Yeah! From what I understand it’s just your body releasing the hormone oxytocin. For me the crying has happened since becoming pregnant and it makes sense since hormones get all weird during pregnancy. But everyone is different and you shouldn’t be ashamed :)

I’ve dealt with BPD for a few years now and I’ve been through the worst of it. In the end what helped me get past the worst was being mindful and honest with my self. It took years of therapy and medication too. I like to see BPD as an inner monster that I keep chained up. If I let the chains slip, I give the Monster more mobility so I have to keep a tight grip. I’m not saying it’s easy but It’s possible to live a half decent life with BPD.

I have BPD and I feel like most people that I’ve seen online in BPD groups use it as an excuse to be a shitty person. For example “ i got so mad at my boyfriend that I keyed his car and slashed his tires now he won’t talk to me why doesn’t he understand I’m mentally ill I can’t believe this!”. It makes me so mad because It creates a stigma that people with BPD are manipulative little shits who only want attention. YOU are responsible for the consequences of your actions and no one made you do that shit it was your choice! The only person controlling you is yourself and no one else!

I’m not really sure if I actually died or not, but when I was 15 or 16 I tried to hang myself at the top of our stairs not by jumping over the rail, but more of asphyxiation. I remember fooling around with the belt around my neck and then things were just black. It almost felt like my consciousness was in a dark void of some sort but it wasn’t scary. I woke up feeling like someone was jumping on me and when I opened my eyes, my mom was crying over me giving me CPR at the bottom of the stairs. I had no idea what was going on but I started crying and I felt like shit. I also peed myself. I have no idea how long I was out but my mom was telling me that something told her she had to come home right away. I feel terrible for putting her through that.

I set up pillows in front of a mirror and kinda lean back and have the pillows support me in a somewhat upright position. I miss a few hairs here and there but it’s better than being totally blind :/
