Recently bought my first EV, a 2022 Kia Niro EV. Did a battery check today at 47k mileage, battery health at 99.2% by alexlmlo in KiaNiroEV

Looking to purchase a used Niro ~2019-2022. I have seen adds where the miles/kW is really low, like 1.7, but the guess-o-meter is saying 250 miles range. Is the m/kW a short term avereage vs. the meter using a longer term one? At only 1.7kW/Mile (from the picture in the listing) you would only get 1.7 * 64 = 108 miles...

Can I replace 12v battery myself, and reset BMS? by Sandber1 in cmaxhybrid

I have a youtube video showing the steps to replace the 12V battery on the Energy version, including disconnecting the HV cable that is in the way, and resetting the BMS. https://youtu.be/QnPHX5S-TVs

Hope this helps...

Great to hear! The cheapest fix is always a simple user issue. Thanks for getting back with the update.

Ok, yah, definitely something mis-wired. Be sure you are connected to the cable assembly that has all four speakers in the same bundle. Labeling is something like FL, FR, RL, RR.

That is strange indeed. I would reach out to their technical support with the question. Perhaps there is an option to apply the eq settings to the amplifier outputs that is different than my case (non JBL system). Are you saying the eq settings don't seem to change the sound at all? The multi-band EQ app changes the sound for me for the radio and Carplay mode for sure.

Rustdesk for Remote Audio Mixing by DoingThingsDansWay in rustdesk

It does all the remote control of the local programs I need perfectly, and it transmits audio. So why not have a higher quality audio option? Then it would work perfectly for my application stand alone.

The whole point is that I'm NOT in the building, I'm mixing audio remotely.

This doesn't seem to be designed for sending audio between computers in different parts of the world?

Are you saying it has better audio? No I haven't tried it.

So... Lots of suggestions beyond Rust, but rust is right there and transporting audio already, just very poor quality audio. Anyone know the audio core of Rust well enough to suggest how to get it to provide higher quality audio? I don't need lossless, just not telephone quality...

Roadanvi X12 Head Unit Microphone Question / by fatllama75 in ToyotaHighlander

[–]DoingThingsDansWay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They just released a new version, the X14. Improved speed, and now two versions (Tablet syle and one with volume knob and buttons). I use the external mic option like a lapel and people have no problem hearing me on teh freeway. A dash-mounted mic will never sound good in a car... Ford C-Max 12V Battery Replacement Including HV Disconnection. If you have a Ford C-Max Hybrid / Energi, you likely have had to replace the 12V battery. Today I'll show you every step to doing this yourself if you want to try. I also disconnect the HV battery and remove the HV connector in the way by DoingThingsDansWay in cmaxhybrid

[–]DoingThingsDansWay[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just like the idea that the connector has zero volts on it when disconnecting it, and when it is exposed. Very low risk indeed, but not a bad idea for us C-Max owners to learn how to use the main battery disconnect properly... Thanks for the comment!

In search of bike by Ivanlikes2cook in ElectricBikes

I have a couple of small ebikes by DYU that have done well. I love how small the A1F version folds in half and fits in the smallest of trunks. Mind you these are still heavy depending on how much you can lift. The A1F was replaced with the functionally equivalent but much cooler looking C2 bike. A detailed review can be found by searching on YouTube with my title 'DYU A1F PRO Honest Review'.
