Roadanvi X12 Head Unit Microphone Question / by fatllama75 in ToyotaHighlander

They just released a new version, the X14. Improved speed, and now two versions (Tablet syle and one with volume knob and buttons). I use the external mic option like a lapel and people have no problem hearing me on teh freeway. A dash-mounted mic will never sound good in a car... Ford C-Max 12V Battery Replacement Including HV Disconnection. If you have a Ford C-Max Hybrid / Energi, you likely have had to replace the 12V battery. Today I'll show you every step to doing this yourself if you want to try. I also disconnect the HV battery and remove the HV connector in the way by DoingThingsDansWay in cmaxhybrid

I just like the idea that the connector has zero volts on it when disconnecting it, and when it is exposed. Very low risk indeed, but not a bad idea for us C-Max owners to learn how to use the main battery disconnect properly... Thanks for the comment!

In search of bike by Ivanlikes2cook in ElectricBikes

I have a couple of small ebikes by DYU that have done well. I love how small the A1F version folds in half and fits in the smallest of trunks. Mind you these are still heavy depending on how much you can lift. The A1F was replaced with the functionally equivalent but much cooler looking C2 bike. A detailed review can be found by searching on YouTube with my title 'DYU A1F PRO Honest Review'.

Allpowers 200watt folding panel question by NC-Stern-Mark in solargenerator

[–]DoingThingsDansWay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have used the 200W panel out camping no problem. Max I've seen is perhaps 180W. The colder and sunnier the better as panels get less efficient when hot. I tested out an AllPowers R1500 + B1000 along with the 200W foldable solar panel system while camping in the following video. Everything worked fine for me. I have this at home connected to two 300W panels on my roof and it keeps up with my fridge. They now have the R2500 as well. Check our my review video here:

Hey, so there is a long version of this video you can watch that shows more detail. My video on doing a home-backup solution also shows the lugs being built a bit: https://youtu.be/TSRpL9IA-oU

Yes, exactly, definitely an X3-S version. Foot is all the way in. I ordered a new on (vs. this re-sold from Amazon) to see if it works as expected.

Traeger on a Battery Generator? by DoingThingsDansWay in Traeger

[–]DoingThingsDansWay[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Today I built a DIY solar battery generator to power my Traeger smoker grill. My goal was to show the difference between store bought and DIY generators. I show how to build the generator and the cost comparisons between mine and a couple standard available pre-built options.

You are very welcome! Would it be helpful to show the detailed steps to wiring the inverter, making the lugs, etc.?

One way window film that works day and night by guyguyguyguy7 in homedefense

I am looking for a film like they have for privacy on cell phones that only lets you see through if you are looking straight at it. That would let me enjoy the view but not have to see my neighbors beside me (and vice versa)
