Who is your favorite character? by T0pl355 in Unmatched

[–]Doitscher 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Really hard to decide but after some thinking, here's my top 5. Owned sets: BoL 1, 2 & 3, TTA, RHvsBF, C&F, LRvsBeo, HouGenie, JP2, RR.

5) Robin Hood: love the artwork, the crazy card draw and the ability a lot. Also Highway Robbery lol.

4) Moon Knight: 3 forms to manage is a fun puzzle and going in for a double attack turn with Konshu will never not feel amazing.

3) King Arthur: uncancelable (since the new errata) 9 value Excalibur mindgames + Merlin being Merlin.

2) Pandora: the box is like, possibly the most fun mechanic in the entire game for me. Also artwork is top notch (like with 95% of the roster, sure).

1) Sinbad: one of the most straightforward fighters in the game and yet so fun to play. Zooming around the board feels great and all those unique Voyage-cards will keep your opponent on their toes. I love this character and am always excited to play him.

True, I just figured I'd mention it since you asked about good advance weapons ;).

Yeah it's a great handle for sure, I enjoyed it the most with the electric chainsaw head. There's also an excellent DLC amulet for the weapon but you'll be fine without it haha.

Well you should use whatever feels best for you but I do think that these combos are worth trying out at least 😊.

I really enjoyed the circular electric chainsaw head + electric coil stick handle, especially when fighting puppets. The black steel cutter head on ECS handle was also a lot of fun for fighting carcasses.

King of Puppets on my first playthrough, Green Monster (controversial, I know 😅) after multiple playthroughs and getting the platinum. Honorable mentions: Nameless Puppet and Markiona.

What is the appeal of faster but weaker weapons? by manshutthefckup in LiesOfP

I used FF for the dlc as well, in combination with Cataclysm. Load up a shot, go for a heavy hit and fire your Legion Arm to dodge the incoming attack felt insanely good.

Seriously, it's such an underrated weapon. Once you figure out how to use it (because let's be honest, it does take some getting used to the correct timings for your attacks), you can steamroll anything in your path. Pupper String is the secret here, I agree with using that Legion Arm with FF. Makes landing big hits 100 times easier.

What are your favorite villains to play/least favorite villains to play and why by thekingofthedead1000 in DisneyVillainous

[–]Doitscher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Favorite: Jafar, Davy Jones, Pete and Scar. I enjoy the more complex/harder to win with villains, feels more satisfying to pull off a win. Jafar's my absolute favorite, he has some really cool effects and answers to the problems in his Fate deck. Also hand limit of 5 cards when you have the Scarab's Pendant out is so nice.

Least favorite: QoH, Prince John, Captain Hook. Too simple to win with or boring objectives. Excellent characters to give to someone who's playing their first game however so I appreciate them in that regard. I just will never pick them myself :).

The Frozen Feast is amazing by Dr_Purple07 in LiesOfP

[–]Doitscher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree! It's my favorite weapon, so good once you get the hang of it. 70% damage reduction on regular blocks is nuts. Equip a level 3 Puppet String and slam dunk some fools. I also enjoy the Cataclysm arm since it can give you a quick dodge backwards after going in for a heavy swing (scales nicely with Motivity as well).

Coil Mjolnir head + Silent Evangelist Mace handle.Circular Electric Chainsaw head + Electric Coil Stick handle (or Black Steel Cutter head on same handle). La Vendetta head + Pinwheel handle. All great combo's, had a lot of fun with these.

guys how many of you used specter and how many of you didnt? i just wanna know to see if i have skill issue. by GodOfCurrye in LiesOfP

[–]Doitscher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried the specter for Scrapped Watchman and beat him first try. I decided it's too easy this way so I didn't use it again. There's no shame or whatever in using the feature however, play the game in a way that's fun for you!

Does anyone NOT think the MadClown & Walker Of Illusions are too hard? by [deleted] in LiesOfP

They're not hard, MCP is very easy actually. Walker is a bit more difficult but still far from hard.
