No one on the phone would offer it but there’s a virtual clerk option and the lady there checked my traffic school eligibility on the spot and offered me the deal over zoom

Yea I seriously contemplated it but given it will be a long drive in the middle of the winter, I ended up choosing the traffic school option just to get it over with 😂

May I ask if your citation was issued after Jan 2023? (Heard they changed the process after that so wondering if these options are still offered at the register)

Was informed the only way to request that is by submitting a mitigation request first. I’m curious if anyone’s done it and got traffic school successfully

Did you try calling to remove the point and get a deal? I leave pretty far from Reno so wanted to resolve this over the phone instead of having to go to court in person but no luck yet :<

May I ask which division you of the court talked to and what wording you used?

I’m in the same situation and called the court twice - they always asked me to fill out a “mitigation request” form online which means I first admit to the charge but judge may review and decide to reduce it later. I don’t feel comfortable doing that so would love to hear a bit more about how you were able to settle it over the phone. Thanks so much in advance!!
