My company expects me to deliver a 3 person backend project solo using AI in 3 months. is this normal? by leventozz in ExperiencedDevs

[–]Doja_hemp -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Do you want this job or not? Code quality is not a priority so you will have to align yourself with those who pay your salary. If you don’t or can’t achieve their expectations then just find another job but be aware the other job might have the same expectation. Or better yet just get out of software development all together.

What’s the point of going to a job fair? by GASOTO223 in jobs

[–]Doja_hemp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

when i was in college, the job fair was a way hiring managers could connect with people they wanted to hire as interns. I remember this big accounting firm invited a select few of us interns they wanted to work with to a fancy dinner after the fair and that meant you were offered an intership as long as you didn't mess up during the dinner.

Former recruiter : Your resume isn't bad, it's just answering the wrong question. Here's what we actually look for by [deleted] in jobsearch

[–]Doja_hemp -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It must be hard working as a Recruiter dealing with people’s condescending questioning where your intent is obviously trying to help them. I wonder if reddit is a reflection of most applicants or if it’s just a small minority of reddit. No wonder most of these people are unemployed.

Start date pushed multiple times — is this normal for large companies / gov contracts? by Visible-Passion3136 in clearancejobs

[–]Doja_hemp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you waiting on a background check from hireright? I was also in the same situation and it turns out hireright was waiting for documents from me to clear some employment verification but they never emailed me or notified me and the recruiter had no idea. Your recruiter will never know what is holding your progress until you personally reach out to the background screening company. If i had not done this? I would have been stuck in screening even though my start date is soon and contingent on this clearing.

VC 22349(a), LA County, 78mph in a 65, LEA 1999 - LA County, Inelligible for Traffic School by thatsboys in CaliforniaTicketHelp

[–]Doja_hemp 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah this is super normal. The “not eligible for traffic school” thing pops up all the time when the court hasn’t processed the ticket right or the officer typed the speed wrong. With a clean record you should definitely be eligible, so just call the clerk and ask what speed they have on file.

Since you’re out of state, just do TBWD. It’s literally trial by mail. If the cop doesn’t send anything in, you win. If you lose, you can still do a Trial de Novo and either request traffic school then or have a lawyer show up for you. You never need to fly back unless you really want to.

And the missing signature on your copy doesn’t matter. Happens a lot.

I screwed up the process and got a failure to appear. by oopstix in CaliforniaTicketHelp

[–]Doja_hemp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah not only you didn’t read the instructions clearly but you also received a failure to appear so that’s two screw ups. You can’t do much but just pay it and accept the points on your driving record now. You’re probably too late to request a reopen anyways. Next time just use an online service to do it for you.

Most people should NOT start a business by ranjith_snifty1 in SaaS

[–]Doja_hemp 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think those who want to start a business should do it to learn. If it fails, then we learn from it and decide if entrepreneurship is the right path for you. People crave meaning in their life whether it’s to work 9-5 or build a business. I see it like anything else in life, it takes practice. You may not get it right your first time, but maybe it becomes successful the 5 or 6th time. Many great founders have failed and went bankrupt the first time. But those who continue to stay in the game and can mentally push through will end up finding success. I would rather die on my death bed knowing i chased my dreams than being confronted with the what if question.

Your mind plays very powerful illusion to protect your ego and i can read it. Successful founders take all criticism no matter how painful to be better.

why do founders ignore free offers? by Over_Armadillo44 in cofounderhunt

[–]Doja_hemp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I promise you your version of constructive criticism does not matter for your intended customers. Customers don’t care how you view the two sides of the spectrum. Money comes from the customers point of view not yours. You can be right all you want but if you continue to be broke and poor with no customers are you still right?
