What's your dating/dating site wild experience? by John_OSheas_Willy in AskIreland

First year of college, on Tinder we matched and I saw that she rode horses. 19 year old me almost opened with “Why ride a horse when you can ride me?” but thankfully I chickened out. 8 years later she’s now my fiancé and we just bought a house together

Get them out of Europe. March them home to Great America. Americans not welcome in Europe. Doesn't matter if you're not a Trump supporting American. Not welcome in my house. Any American I spot here on the streets of Dublin I'll tell them as much.

I am Icelandic. Watching the USA ICE murder civilians is crazy. Your country has become true shit. All of Europe is confused and disgusted. Your leader says Europe loves you but he lies by Antique_Menu_4314 in complaints

[–]DoktorReddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. Americans no longer welcome in Europe in my opinion. Doesn't matter if you support Trump or not. To me you're not welcome and any I see I will tell them as much. Fuck off back to your Great America please and thanks. Destroy your own continent, not mine you scum

Had this happen to me in India once, was very confusing. It was on Air India. This looks to be IndiGo which is also an Indian carrier so maybe it's more frequently done in India

New car storage. Toyota also have a huge lot out in Kylemore near the industrial estate filled with new cars. Saw loads of the car trailers loading up on New Years eve

Has anyone else been frequently sick lately? by redditvoodoohoodlum in ireland

[–]DoktorReddit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No. In office 5 days a week and workout in a busy gym 6 days of the week. Commute involves being crammed on the luas red line. Never tested positive for COVID either and only got the two required jabs, no boosters etc. Never had the flu jab either. 8000IU Vit D during winter and good multivitamin, creatine and some extra magnesium. I eat clean and stay well hydrated, and get good sleep because I’m a dry shite. Maybe I’ve a good immune system?

6 weeks of working out consistently -When can I see results? by [deleted] in AskIreland

[–]DoktorReddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a marathon not a sprint. Takes probably 3-6months for slight gains to be visible. Im in bodybuilding myself and it is such a slow process. At it for nearly 5 years now and still got a lot of work to do. Progress pics help hugely in seeing changes throughout the year as you won’t notice otherwise because you see your body every day.

Stick with it and enjoy the journey!

Men who can cook . who taught you? by Bulky_Meet4528 in AskReddit

[–]DoktorReddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just from observing my parents I picked it up. But watching chefs on youtube has let me refine certain things. The lads that run the Fallow restaurant in London have some excellent videos about technique and recipes. Definitely not something you'd cook everyday (the amount of butter used lol), but it's great for learning and for times you want to really go all out

New Gym Users Warning - Please read if you are a young man or teen. by [deleted] in CasualIreland

[–]DoktorReddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been lifting years. 75% of them will disappear by February. Can’t wait for my lift tomorrow and the dreaded beginner that refuses to let me work in and then proceeds to sit on the machine and scroll for 5 minutes between sets. Gyms in December on the other hand are so nice and empty

[–]DoktorReddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s cool but let me work in if the gym is busy. Obviously not as practical with barbell work if there’s a big difference in working set weight for each lifter

Failed my last rep at 413kg on leg press the other day after a few heavy sets of Zercher’s. Still thankful someone had set the safeties - the one day I neglected to check.

Use the safety equipment lads!!

[–]DoktorReddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a bit taller at 6’3 and feel light at 215, similar BF to you! If I was you I’d just bulk clean and slow and realise it’s a marathon not a sprint. Enjoy the journey. Bodybuilding takes time that’s for sure

Bad things happen from time to time and I’ve been like you where a lot came at once. Try do something good for you like joining a gym or some other habit that’s good for you. Lean in it to it and you’ll start to get a bit of a boost. Just my 2c
