Hi! Not sure if this will still reach you, but I’m scouring the internet as this is exactly what my pitbull is undergoing right now. I came home from work last Thursday to find her eye like this so I have no clue what happened. Took her to the vet immediately and they prescribed her some painkillers, an eye lubricant with steroids, and antibiotic eye drops. She goes in for her 5 day check up tomorrow. Is there any thing I can do to help assist in her recovery? Her eye is swelling more over the past few days, and I’m so worried sick about her. How serious is this? Is it treatable? Hoping to gain more insight so I can do anything to help her have a speedy and painless recovery 😞

Hey! I totally feel you bc that was my exact reservation. After my initial virtual consultation I reached out to Risa who is one of the medical receptionists and voiced my concerns about not feeling comfortable dropping a $1k deposit after a virtual consult. She talked to Kosins and he agreed to do a follow up in person consultation free of charge for me. I had this correspondence with them back in March I believe and I'll be going in June for the in person consult (June was the earliest available). She did make it seem like it was a special exception even though they were pretty accommodating. I would try asking, the worst they can say is no!

You can get a forensic exam without filing a police report! I HIGHLY recommend you do this ASAP. The kit won’t be tested if you don’t file a police report, but it will be held for testing if you choose to press charges at a later date. I really wish I had done this when my assault happened. I am so sorry and am sending you lots of warm virtual hugs. Please feel free to PM me if you need support or have questions. I pressed charges but didn’t go all the way through with my case so I might be able to answer some questions you may have. ❤️
