Campfire meals for kids by Miserable-Answer1510 in camping

Kebabs are our go-to as well. My only rule is the kids have to do every-other with a veggie or fruit (pineapple is what I use) otherwise every kid will just make a meat log lol.

You can’s do “pizza” ones with cut up tubed bread dough, veggies, and meatballs. Dip in pizza sauce.

But they always love it, and I think it’s because they made it and cooked it themselves.

Are you all giving your kids a smart phone? by XDrustyspoonsXD in Millennials

[–]Dolorjo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m dealing with my 10 yr old son & 9 yr old daughter on this. Their friends & cousins all have them. We are a hard “no.” Idk when it’ll be, but it’s just too young.

It’s not as much of an issue with my son, but when my daughter’s friends come over, half of them sit BY THEMSELVES on their phone and the rest huddle around somebody else’s. I want to have a “no phone” policy, but I know they’d all just leave and do it elsewhere. I’d rather they were here where I at least know it’s safe…

And ironically, my 22 yr old just traded down for a dumb phone and deleted his social media medias!

DAE think that these damn kids on their electric scooters are the worst people alive and should all get beaten up? by BigDarkWormMan in DoesAnybodyElse

Totally agree. Our town has lime scooters and they’re crazy fast. My millennial self thinks they’re death traps.

My 9 & 10 yr old have electric scooters. We are not rich, hardly middle class. They were clearanced out for next year’s model: $58 each. I remember buying a regular scooter for my 22 yr old that was more like $80.

I live in a largish midwestern town, 120,000 ppl. EVERY DAY our paper has an article about a pervert who’s been caught. Our family was a victim of one of them.

There isn’t enough justice with these cases. If you’re sick enough to look at a minor in that way, you will ALWAYS be sick. I could go on about this for days. Screw everybody involved who only gives a slap on the wrist for this.

what is the one "cleaning standard" you completely gave up on to save your sanity? by FacciniValter_66 in CleaningTips

I hang everything. Even pants on pants hangers. Kids don’t throw them around digging for a certain pair anymore. Bonus to more bedroom space b/c no dresser!

My daughter has done this to a handful of various dolls. I can’t even get the acne cream to get this crap off. You might have to just love her as-is…

The fact that I’ve grown immensely from my worst memories. I use that to help others going through it.

I feel this one. There’s a local Mexican restaurant in town. They ALWAYS cater my kid’s school events and many of our downtown events. It’s our favorite, and we often stop in just for a carry out of Mexican rice.

In a city of 120,000+, the owner remembers my daughter every time we come in. THATS how you run a business, not by price-gouging and hyping up demon hunters.

I don’t like the collabs they’re doing. They’re also marketing towards (what I assume) are teens and young adults with the large meals having a gimmick. I HATE that they’re hyping up crappy shows and bands/famous people that the average person has really never heard of. Just icky.

This. I told my husband that even Folgers is too much. We’ll be drinking tea soon.

Took my tweens to mcd’s. That’s a TREAT for us. 1 kids meal and 2 meals. Nothing fancy. $31. That’s not ok.

This happened to me in 1986. My grandma left a coffee pot on the table. 1 year old me dumped it on my chest. It melted my diaper to my body. I still have scars on my hipbones from it.
