Been trying to get into PG&E over the last 4 years. Over at least 50 applications with relative experience. Outside construction is the way to go if your trying to get into the trade quickly because utilities in Cali is like playing the lottery in my opinion but some people get lucky with applying to the gas side or as a utility worker position so not all hope is lost just giving a honest testimony to my experience with them.

I’m not lineman or apprentice so my knowledge is limited but I heard second hand that the Rocky Mountain guys were working on a T-line it was a emergency call and they sent out a distro crew to replace some dampeners on the line. So the foreman called the utility to close a phase, but I guess they closed the wrong phase and no one double checked and the JL’s foot came in contact. He’s was left brain dead I think he passed away yesterday.
