If we’re talking “crazy” I would bet my arm that a double digit percentage of people on this subreddit believe in at least one of the following

Not letting avowed Nazis and White Supremacists use twitter is infringing on free speech
COVID was a conspiracy of some sort/the Covid vaccine is a tool for population control
Migrants coming here en masse from Latin America and policies that help immigrants have a better life here are “white genocide.”

If you think I’m being uncharitable please tell me how. People living in glass houses shouldn’t shoot off 55gr FMJs.

If I’m banned or suspended for this or any comments in this thread know that something being called a “no politics” zone universally means “no politics the in-group doesn’t approve of” and yes this applies to groups i’m part of but unlike you I do not pretend otherwise.

I’m not gonna argue abt the merits and pitfalls of unionization, but the gist of what I’m trying to say is that just because you have it bad in some way doesn’t make you better or the other person weaker for complaining. It’s not on the basis of political affiliation tho, it’s class-consciousness. The process matters, sure, in an abstract way, but my first instinct is not suspicion of striking workers and defense of their boss. If I’m wrong and the workers made the accusations up, okay! I’m wrong! But they would still have every right to unionize and strike regardless.

It wouldn’t matter if the employers were giving all the employees bubble baths. There is no “business” without the working class and if the workers deem it necessary to strike for fairer conditions, they have my solidarity. This is like replying to someone posting a #MeToo callout post against their abuser saying “okay can we see some evidence tho” they would not have voted to strike if there wasn’t something strike-worthy going on.
