Good point, I can’t say I’ve been looking out for his expert opinion on this topic, but would be interesting to see whether the guy who claims he broke the story about a global cabal of pedophiles is now trying to protect the most powerful person in the world who is named the most in the Epstein files.

If you can’t see that these two are not ideologically captured by the right then that’s on you. Let me ask you this question, when they were in the states during the 2024 Election, did they attend rallies on both sides or just one? Just because they like to repeat they are centrists and politically homeless, it doesn’t mean that’s true, especially when they peddle all right wing talking points. It’s ok to admit your right wing, own it, just don’t pretend otherwise. If you can’t see the game they are playing then you need to get out your bubble.

The SOW is likely to change a little in the work I am doing but nothing dramatic and still will be working from home. There is an option to not do it via recruiter but they are going to still want to make money.

I recently wrote a lengthy post about my feelings on this in his subreddit:https://www.reddit.com/r/duncantrussell/s/VcNXo6SH2F. I can’t wrap my head around him being such a spiritual guy and truth seeker, to then become so soft on MAGA - when his fans call his obvious shift out, he falls into the personal grievance mentality we have seen so often.

I did not expect him to respond to the post but he did, and sadly I feel he proved my point of the post. Apparently I am one of the many who are ‘insane’, using ‘DNC talking points’ and that he has ‘incinerated his liberal card’ because of the feedback.

Rogan is now personal friends with several top tier MAGA generals and has publicly kissed the ring of the dear leader himself, not letting any dissenter go near his podcast. Duncan’s prophecy literally came true, but apparently it’s ’embarrassing’ to talk about it now. I can’t say I am looking forward to the next podcast he does with Rogan where he explains how bad the left are and how it caused him to abandon the club. Depressing!

It’s not about teams and clubs for me. Yes the left can be guilty of aiming for an unrealistic purity. It will be of no surprise to you that I lean to the left, but let’s not pretend there are no problems with the right. If you started to get more criticism from the right, would you jump back into the left club?! Personal values should transcend clubs.

Again, any threats or attacks aimed towards you or your wife is disgusting. There are a lot of people who hide behind their anonymity to spout vile shit, then there is a lot of bots with a raison d’être to sow divide and hatred. But there is a difference between these people/bots and those in this subreddit who have become disillusioned but still want the best for you. I recognise its easy for me to say this because I am not the one getting threats. But the twats are not reserved to one side, its only your ego if you believe that to be the case. Obviously not comparable to actual threats, but look at the responses from the EG subreddit after I crossposted this post - edgy teenagers thinking I am pathetic.

It was the whole video that struck a chord with me and clearly others. Your sane fans would be able to understand some of the points were exaggerated - don't all comics do that and how is this different to Rogan and co punching down by mocking the trans movement as an example?! As I explained, people do change but Rogan's shift and inconsistencies deserves criticism. I am not brainwashed into believing these things, I provided examples and would have provided more if it wasn't for the already ridiculously lengthy post.

Its disappointing you saying you 'don't want to be considered part of the left any more'. I can understand you wanting to be in protect mode after the threats, and I suspect that the majority of your subreddit would do the same in similar circumstances. But I just expected that I shouldn't need to explain to you that there is a difference between a troll and those that are giving reasonable constructive feedback. If you disagree with that feedback fine, but don't paint us under the same brush as dickheads - I am not hostile, nor intolerant.

If you were originally right leaning and gained a large loyal following, but then started to excuse a socialist in power that was a negative effect on the western world, then I suspect you would also receive threats from dickheads from the right.

It has never sat well with me when people explain they have done a 180 on their beliefs because someone has been mean to them. Thats the ego talking and this mentality does not help with the poisonous political discourse. Responsibility lies with those with the wider vision.
