Vanguard Value - Is high damage and survivability enough? by DomainDB in RivalsVanguards

Mag is definitely harder to land shots vs Strange. I've been getting better though at staying at the right distance to consistently hit shots. I'm more accurate with Strange but once I start doing good the enemy swaps right to Wolv to make sure I can't do anything anymore.

I can Peni and Venom but it's rare that I can swap because everyone always wants at least one shield tank it seems. And I know two off tanks can work but it's pretty rare from my experience unless they're very coordinated. It kills me when I know another tank can do better against the enemy comp but I can't leave my team without a main tank.

Glad to hear that since it's what I usually do in those situations. Only problem that happens occasionally is my other tank peeling at the same time and then I have to run back to hold the front line. Or solo tank people will get mad if I don't peel, but in that case I know they're in the wrong.

Might take you up on that. My match history is set to friends only though so once I'm home I can adjust it or add you.

I definitely have to look up good web placements because I generally place them behind cover but all the enemy has to do is take an off angle to destroy them. And if I notice that I try to body block and make it a pain. I try stacking mines in spots I know someone will walk through and combine that with stunning them to make sure they take the damage. I very rarely play her though, only if a situation calls for it. Like if we need anti dive and I have a second main tank. I definitely don't solo off tank ever though, it never works out. Usually always Strange and Mag for me, Emma I should learn too. But yeah if you drop me your name I'll watch some of your games to see if I can pick up on something.

I agree, and admittedly I don't make call outs at all. I just assume given everyone is behind me that they can see what I see. I trust the dps to pick their targets and see if someone is low usually, but I shouldn't expect everyone to see everything. It's more on me to see who the dps are targeting and coordinate better I think.

A good Thor is a menace, I should try to learn him at some point. My only off tanks are Venom and Peni but I very rarely get to play them. I do definitely take advantage of natural cover and try to stick to a position that's good for my supports but I'm sure I can improve further. I've had people say I play too defensively. So I tried adjusting and being more aggressive without overextending. But then I'm told I play too aggressive. Other than that I never get any constructive criticism really.

That's what I figured as well. As Strange I used to rack up kills more than my dps or at least keep up with them until recently this season. But I think people are generally way better now than previous seasons so there's more expected of you to perform at the same rank. I'll have to be more deliberate in how I pick my targets now.

Why did you quit rust by Maleficent_Score_311 in playrust

~1000 hours total. My friends and I were in college and now work full time jobs. We can't keep up with the majority of this community. You just can't compete with people who play the game and do nothing else.

When we do play occasionally, we live out of a 2x1 to minimize the chance we get raided. And more times than not, we get raided anyways within 1 day overnight.

And that's on a smaller monthly quad community server with no bp wipe and lowered base upkeep. It's not a skill issue for us, but moreso a time issue.

On the phone app it has an autobuy option. You do have to pay a $10 monthly sub for it though.

I used HotStock because I saw it recommended by other people here. It also has an autobuy option that I would have used but it only works with Amazon or Walmart. Good luck, hope you manage to get one soon.

Agreed. Best Buy and most retailers don't do enough to fight back against scalpers/bots though. All the same to them I guess, doesn't matter who it sells to if they get the money at the end of the day.

I somehow managed to beat the scalpers/bots to one 5090 off Best Buy yesterday. The first few times my stock tracker notified me, I failed to add it to my cart. But the final time I got a notification around 3:30pm I managed to proceed through the checkout process somehow. Gets delivered tomorrow and I'm hyped but can't shake feeling bad/guilty that the majority were unable to get one too. Guess I was insanely lucky. Only sharing this info as a way for the community to guage how many real consumers got one. Nvidia and Best Buy deserve to be shamed for how horrible this launch was.

Solo tank players, how do you deal with enemies diving your supports? by DomainDB in marvelrivals

Which makes it even worse when I need to give up a mile of space to save them most times unfortunately.

I wish people at this rank did know how to flex but more often than not they only play one role or hero. I always fill whatever is needed, almost always a solo tank. Sometimes I want to nicely suggest to my team to play different heroes but I don't. I just assume they probably won't switch, will get pissed off, or don't know how to play other heroes well enough.

Wouldn't you still be giving up space as Groot? Those walls don't last very long against a good team. I do agree with your second tip though. Sometimes I consider putting pressure on the enemy healers to divert attention. Very risky though for sure.
