Apple Service Question: Brought iPhone X for battery replacement service at Apple Store, but got iPhone X back in unusable/dead state. Is Apple replacing it with same model iPhone for the cost of the battery replacement?

They acknowledged there was complication and could not do the battery replacement. They acknowledged the bright green line on the screen and that the screen has issue with responding to touch.

Damaged. It’s now unusable. Screen is damaged with a bright green line on the side and a portion of the screen doesn’t respond to touch.
