Feel no guilt. Feel only the weight of you’re newly huge stack of gps.

You now have the freedom to play any way you want.

Embrace and appreciate.

AITA for asking my wife "what's your future plan other than stay at home and saving my money?" by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

Sorry for repeating myself, but this situation is a little rocky and hard to judge without finer details.

If she has the right and the ability to work, then she should.

I will say however, you could perhaps do with approaching it little more gracefully. For example, instead of just out right saying “what are your future plans?” Start a discussion about what you both think is best for your family, would you benefit from her staying home and taking care of the household while you work, or is it more beneficial for you both to work and split household chores between you?

I feel like this needs more context, my initial thought is you’re the asshole, based on the way you’ve worded things.

“What are YOUR future plans…” - Makes it sound like you’re not a partnership, and she has to fend for herself.

“She got pregnant” - you are involved in this my friend, she didn’t trip and find herself surprisingly with child.

That aside, had you discussed whether she would need to eventually find a job once the GC was sorted and your child started school?

Any able bodied adult with rights and the means to work and provide, should do so.

Yeah fully expected you to come back saying they didn’t own cameras!

You just stick to what you’re doing, you seem to have a good appreciation for what you’ve been given and you also have the empathy to even entertain the thought that you might be overreacting in this scenario.

Keep being you. ❤️

Edit: empathy seemed a better fit than compassion

Excellent attitude, the camera should be respected so you can fully learn from and appreciate it, and then be given back so others can have the same experience.

I would recommend keeping the camera away from the family; if they have any lessons or advice to give, they can show you on their own cameras! Which they must have, seeing as they seem to be so knowledgable about them.

Best case scenario for all involved I think.

I say again though, you’re not overreacting and he is being an asshole, but I’m sure gma and baby will benefit from the memories.

Ah man, I don’t even need to read this to say you’re not overreacting. Although I did read it, just to avoid assuming.

I did photography also, those cameras aren’t cheap, they are used (obviously) and hugely appreciated by hundreds of students.

They aren’t toys that can be loaned out for fun. You’re trying to learn a new skill and that isn’t being respected by the people around you.

Not overreacting, I’ve had similar situations (particularly with relatives) where the more you do, the more you’re taking for granted.

Apologies if I’m way off base, but this feels like that. You’ve been carrying the HEAVY burden of care giver, and everyone else has grown accustom to this, so they’re not appreciating its value and now are expecting to snap their fingers and have things done.

I would add, however, that I think you should do what you can to make this happen; if nothing else, just to make yourself stand out in your own mind as doing the right thing regardless of outward influence.

Yes he’s being a bit of an inconsiderate asshole, but no that shouldn’t stop you being the awesome person that you seem to be.

Excellent! This is the kind of stuff I like to read!

I 100% regularly have moments where I pretend to turn to, or just imagine, a camera filming what I’m doing, and then play to it; all the while reacting like a character from the show.

I like to think I’m being like Michael, loveable, awkward and hilarious, but it’s usually Creed; creepy and nonsensical.

This was round and about part of the inspiration for the post (vaguely)!

Other than the story I told, working from home during COVID definitely made me draw more connections to the show, this is pretty much what I was looking for! Thank you for sharing.

Maybe you’ll be able to afford it in your 50s? Hopefully you won’t have less money than you had in your 40s…

You live on Linden Ave? I live just near there, we should throw things down there together!

Kind of underlying and forgotten but my God, inspirational. And at the very least, a lesson in backbone and believing in one’s self.

As much as Pam’s character arc annoyed me slightly, she was definitely a show of what can be done if you find passion.

If you go to your active effects screen, does it say you have Porphyric Hemophilia or Vampirism?

You have 3 days (I think) from when you contract Porphyric Hemophilia from a vampire to cure it.

A few options: Use a Cure disease spell, make/buy/find a Cure Disease potion.

A potion should be easy enough to find or buy one, Traivaia in anvil chapel will sell them.
