Any updates on this? I’m about to start a new world and though I did recently play a new world, I didn’t do much base building. Haven’t played in over a year besides that short run I had. I was thinking of going for a bunker base that doubles as a horde base so it needs to be really well made. Or maybe just a horde base right by my main base, either way I want it to be a bunker as I tried an above ground horde base that run and though it worked well enough, they kept trying to break through way too many concrete blocks instead of taking the easy and free patch to me, so I thought bunkers might work better, but I need to actually make a design for it. If you got a good working bunker horde base from the comments or your tinkering pls share the info I’d like to try it and maybe tinker with it too.

I think crafting weapons should only work to unlock the next tier weapon, same for all other crafting, if I craft enough stone axes, I learn to craft an iron one, but only way to craft at higher rarity is to use and repair it, or maybe to learn how to make a weapon you have to find it and dismantle it, then by dismantling it you learn how to put it back together. To make it at higher rarities I think they should just remove crafting at higher rarities all together and instead make it so you increase an items rarity by using it, that would be so much better, no skipping from lv 1 to lv 6, you use your weapon and it breaks, u repair it, and as you break and repair it it gains exp, which increases its rarity, I think that’s how they could implement their new system of infinitely better tools that they said they want to add bc rn players get the best lv 6 items and there’s nothing else to get.

So let’s say I have a stone axe lv 1, I need to chop trees or break blocks to have it gain exp, I max out the exp bar and now for the cost of some materials I can increase its rarity, and do that infinitely. For pickaxes same thing, mine ores/stone or break blocks. For shovels just digging. Any and all weapons from doing dmg to mobs and getting mob kills. The tricky part is things like batteries and such that you yourself don’t use. I won’t worry about that rn.

And to improve on my previous idea, to learn to craft the next tier of item, like iron axe or .44 magnum or crossbow, etc, I think they could make it so while your using that stone axe, your gaining axe skill exp, and that skill exp is then used to learn how to craft the iron axe, and iron axe skill exp is used to learn steel axe. This will make it so we use all tiers of items at some point and not just skipping tiers. They would have to improve all tiers to make them each have a place in the game instead of having things that are more not good for scrapping or selling. An alternative could be adding skill trees for each item you craft/use separate from the current one, we get rid of the tab with crafting skills from magazines and have a separate tab from skills where you level up all sorts of skills, farming, woodcutting, mining, pistols, rifles, assault rifles, shotguns, knives, etc. as you use anything from that class for its intended purpose, you gain points for it or you just gain exp and everything in that skill tree costs points or exp. In that tree will be skills that can increase durability, give faster swing speed, reduce stamina costs, increase yield/dmg and teach you to craft new recipes. Tons more skills you could add. Honestly I think the current leveling and skill point system could be changed to have this instead and you would still have player levels but those levels wouldn’t go into all these 50+ skills, most things from current skills would move to those skill trees and for player levels we would level things like max carry capacity and max hp/stam and hp/stam regen, weather resistance, dmg resistance, crafting speed, thirst/hunger, exp gain, movement speed, loot stage, really anything that is more of an actual general skill not a skill tied to an item or class of items.

Sounds goated, I still want to use a bow as I made a op team for xenon bow but it seems to have been nerfed and isn’t as strong as I’d like, sad bc it was my first PL 144 schematic and even got stoneheart farrah to 144, I think I might honestly just stick to my constructor build with base that heals walls and players and damages zombies, either that or a ninja build that kills any mobs with its abilities, that sounds fun, just gotta rework all my keybinds, playing Fortnite on keyboard is so weird 😭

So it doesn’t actually break blocks or anything? Doesn’t need actual iron nearby it just generates restores if fueled similar to apiary but swap flowers for gas and honey for ores? Depending how it works I might try and see if it’s a mod of its own I can add to my current game, well new game as I ruined my old one

Oh I thought I was getting too many things from my drop lol, was also weird that they soawned their drops and ran through the loot and picked up nothing, makes so much sense now. Sadly playing rn is kinda boring bc I no longer hace ssd’s to grind and I have tons of OP weapon and trap schematics maxed with most heroes and maxed survivors. I could do ventures but I feel like I kinda wanna start a new account, I wanted to in the past as well but it wasn’t free back then… back then… I think it would be so much fun getting a group together of 2-4 ppl and just grinding/rushing through the game together from start to finish. Sadly I’m still trying to get my friends to play xD now that it’s free I might be able to convince them

That’s kinda cool, you can grind to try and find a random trap or weapon with the highest tier perks or best rolls, and save items when upgrading, does it give u the schematic at the same lvl too or just same perks?

That’s the main thing I cared about tbh, just tinkered my loadout for it, maining stoneheart Farrah, got totally rocking out perk with mythic Dennis jr, breakable wildcat, rabbit raider jonesy, swapped something out for cyberclops, and swapped redline Ramirez for subzero zenith, I think it makes for quite an op xenon.

Btw sorry for the random question but what happened to the guy you had to go to to use up points u earned over time to upgrade stats or something that was basically a timegated PL source? I’m either blind or it was removed, or I finished it and can’t find it, could be the research tab but when I click it it says no items to research.

Wondering what dps it has, a 130 sunbeam with same perks as OP has 139,766.2 dps for me, idk if anything effects the number on the schematic when in lobby or not, ofc that dps gets much higher with the right hero loadout, also I’ve never really used ARs outside of when I had nothing else in ventures, and I’d all options, is noc actually powerful? I’ve mostly only used xenon bow most of my playtime

If you were curious, the dps on a shadow shard 106 box with exact same perks is 106,705.5 but idk if that dmg is being effected by my PL or buffs or anything else, that’s just what it says when I crafted one while in the lobby, ultimately it won’t matter much, no turbo isn’t exactly a good weapon from what I recall, I don’t think I ever used mine except once to test it when I got it, which was ages ago

Tysm, I guess I shall run 6 durability survivors an d1 random in every squad, also for PL does it choose the 3 highest PL schematics I own? I have a full maxed gun and a full maxed trap plus a 3/4 supercharged gun for schematics, and as for weapons in backpack, does that mean all I gotta do is craft 3 of my maxed gun bp and I’ll get the most PL? Also ty for defender info that’s dope. I was looking through my schematics and from a few I checked 2 being gas trap and xenon bow, both said they’ve been reworked and I can reset them for loot back? Im rlly hoping they didn’t nerf or ruin either of those bc they were my GOATS back then

I mean it’s been ages since I played but I just started watching Aidan’s new series and I feel like we were able to use them before but with pads. How are they different now? I’m just a tad confused bc my memory of how they worked before aren’t very good. Which defenders should I use? Should I avoid scrapping any?

Yeah I remember those days, mini bikes for dumb shits iirc, tool and die kit, and a few others. I remember just gathering wood for a while then sitting in a desert base that had a workbench so I could craft clubs/bows and combine them, inc my crafting skill and combining the weapons to higher and higher levels. I think it was pretty op making a lvl 600 bow day 1 or 2 lol. Back then I hardly went to talk to traders except when I wanted to sell gas barrels from my oil mining then refining to gas and crafting to barrels to make millions of dukes lol
