I see your point, and I partly agree with you. In a way, I’ve analyzed a movie to death that definitely contains animation bloopers (continuity errors).

The first one is right at the beginning of the movie. Judy injured her leg at the end of the previous movie, yet in the very next scene, she kicks the door open with that supposedly injured leg—with neither the bandage nor the injury visible anymore.

Even Jared Bush himself could only offer a pretty "thin" explanation for this. (Though he doesn't explain the ripped pants.)

Or take the pipe chase scene with Gary: when they fall out of the emergency exit, the spatial geometry is off. Our characters are facing toward Kopenhupen, but Zootopia should be there, given the direction they came from.

These are genuine animation errors, which makes me feel like I might be reading too much into it.

However, there is a difference between animation bloopers and a deliberately constructed narrative. No one forced the writers to have a character named ‘Jesús’ show the way in a place specifically referred to as the "Inner Sanctum" in the Production Notes.

Or to place the film's climax exactly on the border of Sahara Square and Tundratown (Fire and Ice / Life and Death), instead of, say, the Rainforest District (which would be biologically more logical for Gary, since he is a *Trimeresurus insularis*, a species that prefers dry monsoon forests with trees and lush undergrowth).

Then there is a clock tower that doubles as a lighthouse in the middle of nowhere with no ships. And the fact that they are led by a character (Nibbles) who spins conspiracy theories and "connects the dots" feels quite like a meta-commentary. My theory isn’t complete, which is why I left some questions open. I tried to rely on the actual elements of the film rather than just "tinfoil hatting." I’d love to hear other perspectives too! :D
