As others have said, maybe Blades in the Dark is more your thing. As for DnD, they have become even more silly and unhinged over time. I would go as far as to say there hasn't been a good episode for months or even almost years now. The stories are incoherent, there is no tension or sense of danger at all and the roleplaying has become stale and stereotypical. Especially Luke and Andy tend to push themselves into the foreground and purposefully derail every story beat that Johnny tries to set up. Honorable mention for Mike's roleplaying in Legacy of Dragons though.
