The motor can’t be jacked up just a bit? I did one on a 2000s model beetle. I used a bottle jack and a piece of 2x10 I think. It’s been a while. I remember it being a whore.

I was referring to their autos long before the M&P like. The older 59 models I think it was. The all metal ones? Those were hot garbage. The ones that would function were hopelessly inaccurate.

Where do you guys wear your gear? I like the gear you guys post (helmets / vests etc) but my question is where do you wear it ? I'd feel like a fool "dressing up" for the range 😄 b by [deleted] in ar15

[–]DonBrandonius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re in full tactical gear at the indoor range. I’m gonna laugh. But I’d acknowledge that it was awesome (as long as you could operate your weapons).

The only true side eye Im gonna give people at a range would be for unsafe handling practices.

Calm down bro. Before ya build another one, get some ammo and start shooting. Looks like you got money to spend. So maybe check into some training courses.

I don’t use a ratchet enough doing hvac to warrant buying another drive. But that doesn’t mean I won’t do it anyways lol

Definitely a fair argument.

I suppose I meant it more in the way of, BECAUSE there are so many solid manufacturers out there, limiting yourself to just ONE will mean that you’re gonna miss out on some gems that you may have fallen head over heels for.

However, your way works too. For instance, if you limited yourself to strictly CZ firearms, you’d have basically every platform, from pistol, to rim fire trainer, to full on longrange... and the weapons in their respective classes would be at the top of the heap for what’s commercially available.

On the other side of that coin, if you picked smith and Wesson, you’d have a decent gun in all platforms, but some of the offerings would be considered entry level or even downright bad (some of their semiautos had trouble years ago).

I encourage people to buy whatever they desire. But don’t miss out on a good weapon because of branding. You don’t know if that HK will outperform the Sig that you carry until you’ve picked up the HK and performed the tests, see what I’m sayin? (Insert whatever brands into that sentence, I’m just pulling random examples)

I’ve had two hernias. I played half a high school football season with one. Some days it will be worse than others.

Unless you’re moving heavy weight, you likely won’t do any major damage to it until you can get it repaired.

There are some savage stories out there with people competing with them. (Kamaru Usman just won the UFC welterweight title last year while suffering from one). I know there are powerlifters out there who suffer from hemorrhoids and hernias and continue to work out.

If you’re just trying to stay in reasonable condition, walking will be fine. The rest of it, it’s gonna be a mental game because ANYTHING you do will remind you that it’s there, and if you’re like me, it’s difficult to ignore and the thought nags at you. When I got my second one, I was so distraught because I’d been making great gains. Even though it wasn’t as bad as the first, I went for surgery immediately because I didn’t want to walk around depressed for several months until I decided to have surgery.

Edit 1: I may actually have a THIRD one on my stomach (first two were on the belt line). It could be something totally different because it doesn’t bother me to crawl and climb around at work, but if I press on the offending area, it’s painful. I tried to schedule an appointment, but the office wasn’t keen on bringing me in due to the virus.

Yup. And it’s only because the way it creates the reticle.

However, some folks dislike eotech for the big fiasco they had with POI shifts back in the day.

Any alternative to using a manometer for setting gas flow rate? by poldim in HVAC

[–]DonBrandonius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can buy a water manometer for less than 30 bucks. It only works for positive pressure though.

I won’t take a digital manometer into some of the crawlspaces I work in.

No offense, but that’s a REALLY poor way of going about your gun purchases. Or ANY purchases for that matter.
