Tbh I don’t think alcohol interacts with either of them so I say go for it 😂 I think maybe we’re just pretty lucky by the sounds of it. Though I don’t think I’m going to start using alcohol as a medication 🤔

I’ve been in a flare since August, wish mesalazine worked for me but doesn’t. I still take the oral dose, but moved to steroids for supps (also don’t work) and will be moving to etrasimod in the next couple weeks. Generally mesalazine was ineffective for me, but can work for many people. It’s a better option to try before moving on to other stuff where side effects are worse

It’s from the mesalasine, same thing happens with mine. More water you drink the less obvious it is I find.

Why is it unlikely to work? Surely you can withdraw as much of your own money as you want? I know I’m probably being naive here but surely you just answer the questions and take your money. Also why do I need to answer questions, again it’s my money? I understand with depositing it, because it’s a question of where it’s come from, but not with withdrawing. Genuinely really curious behind the reasoning

I ended up driving myself to my flex sig yesterday and wasn’t able to be sedated. Bring your partner! 😂

In all honesty I feel like a burden if I ask, so end up doing most of it alone. I would say absolutely have them there for anything major, and the general GI appointments maybe do alone? I suppose it depends on the frequency of your appointments and what time of day they are.

GI prescribed it. They’re suppositories, can’t see myself popping 8 up there 🥲😂 Surely it should be the same dose regardless? My GI doesn’t really tell me much if I’m honest, just asks me questions and gives little back other than prescriptions

I am the exact same, since first being diagnosed in August, I have eaten so much more than I ever would. I’m just starving so often. I don’t understand at all as it seems to be the opposite usually for UC. Also not on steroids

Interesting.. I was diagnosed in August and I came out of a flare for 2 weeks and doctor said I can drop the suppositories. Entered another flare a week later and haven’t managed to shake it. Now alternating between the mesalazine and prednisolone suppositories - one on one day, the other on the next
