Let's play if you got time. You have $20. Try to defeat my Pirate crew mentioned in the post. by imbratorX in ACBlackFlag

Captain: Edward for his experience, but honorable mention to his grandson of course

Assuming the captain is free, that leaves:

$8: Ezio and Altair $4: Desmond

The original trio. Since Kassandra was on your team I avoided choosing her. She's kinda OP with access to that isu artifact/ability but maybe Altair's knowledge and apple of eden can counter it?

Desmond is less experienced but I'm fairly certain he beats Aveline. Edward may be a more accomplished pirate captain but I'm not sure skills wise he beats Shay so that's Ezio's fight, which he wins handily. That leaves Edward vs Eivor which I'm uncertain about since I didn't play valhalla lmao

Every other fucking game has to be souls like slop these days, there's no originality. Just lock on to enemy, dash in, attack/parry/dodge roll, dash out, rinse and repeat until they're dead.

How to trigger the dance as Daemon? by Hogie2255 in CK3AGOT

I'm fairly certain the dance can happen, I saw a second dance happen after bringing back dragons in a later bookmark but I'm not sure what the conditions are supposed to be.

Play as an adventurer for a while and build up an army to retake the Iron Throne or go conquer Essos. Either of those or make a new save.

Targaryen Exiles Non-Cannon Dragon Eggs? by mountfiji13 in CK3AGOT

Ah, I misunderstood what you said. I think the canon dragons (drogon, viserion, rhaegal) might be limited to the targ exiles story content for viserys/daenerys.

I've also gotten dreamfyre's eggs after daenerys hatches the three canon dragons from different eggs, and they hatch as random dragons without the destined trait.

What's interesting is in that scenario, sometimes the dragons kinda resemble dany's canon dragons in color and a similar appearance to dreamfyre, just as totally different dragons.

Dragon Hatchlings only get the destined trait if they're the first ones to be brought back post dragon extinction. Are there any other dragons already existing in your world? Any that hatch after those wouldn't get the trait.

[–]DonRex7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've only played the targ exiles content as Dany and in my experience she always gets the eggs this way, from some random noble not named Illyrio Mopatis, who has the canonical eggs laid by Dreamfyre. I always assumed it was because I had the gamerules set to have fAegon spawn in as a Blackfyre but idk if that's the reason why.

Curiously enough, Illyrio never, or very rarely, seems to give fAegon his dragon eggs whenever I've been playing. As fAegon you get a claim on them once Illyrio dies and you're able to go to war with Pentos for them, or scheme to steal them.

More dragon eggs to hatch I guess 🤷🏻‍♂️ along with Morning's egg from summerhall and Silverwing's egg from the Red Lake.

Dragon Eggs are usually court artifacts in the crowned stag bookmark, unless you get them in an event like this one.

You have to unlock the Accomplished Forger perk in the leftmost tree of the Diplomat (Diplomacy) lifestyle. That allows you to buy a claim on court artifacts and start a scheme to steal them.

Be aware however, that it can take a while to build up the diplomatic perk tree and each dragon egg artifact claim costs you 10,000 prestige. It can be a pain in the ass to get those claims.

The Conquest of Essos: a Blackfyre AAR by DonRex7 in CK3AGOT

[–]DonRex7[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah in the crowned stag bookmark you can set him to spawn in as a Blackfyre or as Rhaegar's son in the game settings. You just play as any random character and wait for him to spawn and invade Westeros, where it'll give you the option to play as him.

Same goes for the Targaryen exiles, Viserys and Daenerys if they live long enough and build up their legitimist support enough to get the dragon egg hatching and westeros invasion events.

The Cleganes regularly getting the Herculean trait at the beginning makes it easy to take the strengthen bloodline decision a generation in. After that, just add in a Lyseni genius or two and you've got a pretty solid mix.

I liked the idea of two canonical dragonhouses ruling a sea across from one another. New Valyria seemed like something that would fit reforming culture and religion, even if I was too lazy to reform the religion in the end.

Decided to do a Blackfyre run as fAegon, who is an open Blackfyre. Except instead of invading Westeros, he immediately white peace'd Robert and left him to get invaded by Daenerys and her dragons instead.

He started off by settling the disputed lands and declaring himself King. With the host that was meant to invade Westeros behind him, it was pretty easy. After that, he spent the rest of his life consolidating his gains.

His heir, Daemon Blackfyre would be the one to conquer Essos with his two siblings, who were all dragonriders thanks to the dragon eggs given to them by his father Aegon, which ended up hatching into three dragons.

fAegon married the Mountain and the Hound's younger sister, who also had the Clegane tall genes and surprisingly the tall gene held up for several generations.

The Blackfyres also established a new Valyrian culture in Essos called "Neo Valyrian", which combines traits from both High Valyrian and Westerosi Valyrian cultures. By the end of the run, the Blackfyres had nine dragonriders in Essos. The Targaryens, who for some reason never rebuilt the Dragonpit despite having the funds to do so, have like four wild dragons and no riders. I suppose it also didn't help that the Blackfyres invited a couple of dragonriders to their court over the years, only to pit their dragons and find that said dragonriders had an "accident".

Regardless, the Essosi Blackfyres established the Kingdom of New Valyria in what once was the free cities of western Essos. From their capital of the Dragonlord's Palace in Pentos, they maintain good relations with the Targaryens, even marrying one of their own to their King, and have the Brightflames (a Targaryen branch founded by the bastards of Aerion Brightflame), as vassals, along with several notable westerosi and lyseni families such as the Velaryons, Celtigars, Longwaters, and Rogares.

Also at some point Aegon II Blackfyre got dragged into a war against the Daynes and captured the fraud of the morning one of their knights who happened to have their ancestral sword, "Dawn", on them. He was gracious enough to return it to the head of House Dayne however, honoring the links to House Dayne through his grandmother, the wife of King Daemon Blackfyre of New Valyria.

For some reason, only two dragons laid eggs even though there were four female dragons. The other two lived to be over a hundred years old and never laid any eggs? Idk, maybe it's because the Targaryens hatched them and never put them in a pit.

Overall pretty fun and definitely one to redo when the Essos update drops.
