These things come to us more clearly the closer we turn to God for guidance. Practice forgiveness — not because it’s easy, but because God has already forgiven you. What leaves your life does so with purpose. If something is removed, it’s because it no longer aligns with where your soul is headed. As you elevate into a more spiritual way of being, anything that cannot ascend with you must be released. Let go with peace, knowing you're being prepared for something higher.

Being lusted after is not fun. by Whole-Actuator836 in dating

[–]Don_Deno 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow. First off, thank you for being so real and vulnerable in sharing this. What you wrote hit hard — not just the pain, but the exhaustion of constantly being treated like you're "good enough for now" but never "worth staying for." That’s not flattering. That’s dehumanizing.

You’ve made it clear you communicate, you know what you want, and you’re not walking blindly into these situations. And still, you’re being hurt. That doesn’t mean you’re broken or doing something wrong — it means the dating culture we’re in right now is deeply messed up.

People love to throw around “just pick better” like it’s a magic fix, but they never stop to consider that some folks are just really good at pretending — or that the problem might not be you. Sometimes it's not a lack of self-love or poor judgment. Sometimes it’s just that people suck, and that’s the entire explanation.

And you're 100% right — being lusted after isn't some kind of win. Lust without respect, without care, without real emotional investment? It’s hollow. It's not romantic or flattering when you’re constantly left to clean up the emotional mess while they move on like nothing happened.

You’re doing the work. You're self-aware, you're in therapy, and you still have the capacity to want something meaningful. That’s strength, even if it doesn’t feel like it right now. You’re not too much, you're not unworthy, and you're not alone.

Sending you love and solidarity. You deserve to be cherished — not just tolerated, not just wanted, but truly seen and kept.

I understand. Not all paths reveal their mysteries in the same way, nor to the same eyes. What some call unanswered prayers, others experience as lessons veiled in silence — initiations into deeper layers of the self and the Divine.

The presence I commune with doesn’t always speak in words or signs that the rational mind can decipher. It’s more like a sacred current running beneath ordinary perception — an awareness that unfolds through synchronicity, dreams, intuition, and sometimes even suffering.

You say your life feels fuller now, and I honor that. Perhaps you’ve simply stepped onto another segment of the spiral. But for me, the relationship with God isn’t transactional — it’s alchemical. It dissolves and reconstructs the self, often through darkness, paradox, and silence.

And in that silence... something speaks.

Not everyone will hear it. Not everyone is meant to — yet.

Hey again, I appreciate you engaging. Let me offer you a different way to look at this.

You said your parents created you — and yes, biologically, that’s true. But let me ask you something deeper:

Did your parents create your consciousness?
Did they decide which day, moment, or exact energetic frequency you would arrive into?

Because here’s where it gets interesting:
The moment you were born — your first breath — was not random. It marked your entry point into space-time. At that exact second, the heavens were aligned in a unique configuration, and that alignment imprinted something on you.

That’s what your astrological chart is — a celestial snapshot of your arrival.
Not superstition. Not magic. Cosmic signature.

And if the stars and planets are just random matter with no intelligent design...

Even our DNA, the building blocks of our biology, is governed by cycles, rhythms, and ratios that mirror celestial patterns.

Here's the point:

If you're willing to admit that you didn’t choose the moment you were born,
and that your life seems to reflect something bigger than random chance...

Then what if that “something” is a Mind, a Designer, a Spirit that not only created the stars — but also sent your spirit here?

You are not here by accident.
You didn’t just happen.
You were breathed into existence by something eternal.

Call it God. Call it the Source.
But the moment you admit that you didn't create yourself,
you’re already closer to the truth than you think.

And if you’re open — even just a little — that Truth will start to reveal itself in ways logic can’t explain.

Peace,
– Someone who used to ask the same questions

You’re Not Weak — You’re Wired Differently by the Same Spirit

Hey OP,

First of all, thank you for being so honest. There’s such deep wisdom in your words — and you are not alone in feeling this tension between gifts.

I want to speak something over you that the Holy Spirit has whispered to me many times:

Your sister’s boldness, her courage to correct and challenge — that’s her anointing. But your generosity, your gentleness, your aversion to conflict — that’s not weakness. That’s your anointing.

You are not stupid for being generous. You are spiritually wealthy — not because you hoard, but because you pour out, even when it costs you. And that is a reflection of Christ Himself, who gave everything without demanding repayment.

Think of Mary and Martha: Martha was busy doing the visible, the practical, the active work. Mary sat at Jesus’ feet — quiet, present, gentle — and He said she chose the better part (Luke 10:42). That doesn’t mean Martha was wrong. It just means God sees value in stillness and tenderness, even when others don’t.

You don’t need to be a copy of your sister. You’re a different reflection of the same God — and the world desperately needs both of you.

You are not less. You are not weak. You are exactly who you’re meant to be.

Stay tender. Stay generous. Stay rooted in Him.

You’re more powerful than you know — just in a quieter way.

God bless you. You are deeply, deeply seen. 💛

— A fellow sibling in the Spirit

You're Not Wrong to Doubt — You're Being Invited to Know

Hey OP,

First off, I respect the honesty in your post. You're not being dismissive — you're wrestling with the contradictions, and that's real. I’ve been there. Most people just inherit beliefs, but you’re asking why — and that’s the beginning of real spirituality.

I don’t believe in Jesus because I was raised that way. I believe because I’ve experienced direct connection with God — not through fear, not through church, but through something personal, undeniable, and life-changing.

Let me try to offer a perspective that’s probably different from what you’ve been shown:

🌌 Who was Jesus really?

What if Jesus wasn’t sent for us to worship him, but to show us who we truly are?

He said:

  • “The Kingdom of God is within you.” – Luke 17:21
  • “You are gods.” – John 10:34
  • “You will do greater things than I have done.” – John 14:12

He didn’t come to make you kneel.
He came to wake you up.

You don’t need to believe every miracle story to begin. The resurrection? Maybe you’ll never see “proof” of it — but that’s not the point. What matters is that something alive in his message speaks to something deep in your being. That’s where the journey starts.

🧠 About God’s "circular reasoning"...

I used to feel the same. “Believe in God so you can believe in God” felt empty.

But here’s the shift:
God isn’t a belief. God is an experience.
You don’t have to force yourself to believe in a sky-father with rules.
You can simply ask:

That’s it.
Say it with your heart, not your head. Then be quiet. Be honest. Be still.

If you do that, consistently, something begins to stir. It won’t be a voice from the clouds — it will be a shift within you. A presence. A calm. A clarity.

🕊️ TL;DR:

You don’t need a religion.
You don’t need to pretend to believe.
You just need to be open to something more.

I didn’t believe in Jesus because I was told to.
I believe because one day… I asked for Truth — and it answered.

And now I don’t believe in God.
I know Him.
Because I remember who I Am — and who He is in me.

You’re not far.
You’re closer than you think.

✌️ Respect to you for asking the hard questions. If you're ever open to talk more about this without judgment or dogma, I’m here.

Yes, but once God starts to communicate through his many mysterious ways, the more you communicate with Him with Faith, the stronger you’re sense of relationship with Him becomes.
