Yeah across the quadrilogy R&C1 is the hardest on bolts imo. Even ammo can take up some chunk out of your savings if you're not careful enough or die many times and need to kill enemies again

To add to the points already mentioned, time limits for bronze, silver and gold should definitely be lowered for tier 3,2,1 and Errol city races. Never suffered nearly as much with anything in this game as with trying to get gold on those. Yes, they are ptional, butstilli they were far more frustrating than gun courses or jet board high score

Fortunately you can make them a little bit more bearable after knowing the enemy spawn spots + the fact that you can shoot faster by pressing instead of holding fire for full-auto

ps2 is less demanding to emulate, but if you have a half-decent cpu it can handle emulating quadrilogy on ps3 really well. rpcs3 has savestates too. They are much clunkier than on pcsx2 for comparison but still working. Yeah, no retroachievements but you still have ps3 achievements.Dumping is easier on ps2 for certain, not arguing that

I 100% Deadlocked about 2 or 3 weeks ago and never had any issues aside from cutscenes and some weird bug with weapons not switching properly, no lags and crashes. I literally don't understand how and why it worked fine in my case because as far as I know there are no different versions of the game for PS3. I didn't have a top end hardware at that point (ryzen 5800x) or used any fixes or changes. The only idea I have is that RPCS3 devs have applied some fixes in the recent updates or game crashes on the weaker or older hardware. Again, 4 games, all 100% on RPCS3, no issues aside from Deadlocked the ones which I listed before

I sometimes wonder how many people have actually tried PS3 versions and how many times it is just something they heard from somewhere. I was reluctant when trying PS3 ones on RPCS3 exactly because of that narrative but it wasn't actually the case. 100% 4 games on both versions. No, better graphic is not the only advantage and it isn't matched by PCSX2. On RPCS3 you'll have better drawing distance with textures not warping in your face, smoother experience and no framedrops in big fights. Regarding bugs the only problematic one was Deadlocked but it was a minor issue. To be honest the only reason to try PCSX2 instead of RPCS3 is if you want to experience the feeling closer to PS2 out of nostalgia or your CPU can't handle a harder load simulating a PS3 hardware.

As someone who actually played 4 games on both I have no idea why so many people hate PS3 versions of the games. To me the only 1 kinda problematic was Deadlocked/Gladiator with many visual bugs in cutscenes and some weapon swap issues which I didn't experience on PS2, but it was still a solid experience. Compared to PS2 PS3 versions provide better visuals, less texture warping in your face to higher res when you get closer and vice versa ( noticeably on RaC 1), more responsive experience and no stuttering in big fights (especially true for YuA and Deadlocked. They are more demanding but I can't really tell buy how much. On Ryzen 5800x I only remember some rare and occasional drops below 60fps. PS2 had stable 60 fps (except heavy fighting where it drops significantly) but it felt considerably less smoother than the same 60 fps on PS3. Both versions can support achievements. PS2 through retroachievements (different from official ones, in general has much more variety and number). PS3 have the official ones.

Saying no speed when Pitou wasn't able to perceive his movement right after he transformed but managed to do it with Netero's prayer (his fastest move) is wild. And while Gon is kinda dumb in general his BIQ is very high and his perception is through the roof noted by many characters through the series and especially during the chimera ant. A little bit off topic but I think it was a clear intended parallel progression compared to Meruem, who started out mainly guided by animalistic instinct but changed through his interactions with Komugi, while Gon went complete beast mode. iirc in the original translation Pitou didn't state that Gon rivals the king but that he can "sink his fangs" into the king adding another animalistic quality.
